In the midst of a ruined forest, due to the result of the clash between peak powerhouses, a body of a man lay. He was known as the 'Evilest Villain', the worst man ever born in humanity. His body was full of wounds with a spear piercing his heart. However, even in his final moments, he was calm and collected, with his usual cold face.

The only thing on his mind was, "Forgive me, I couldn't keep my promise to you."

He closed his eyes, ready to begin his eternal slumber in the darkness.

Suddenly, a blue light appeared, with ancient text that read, 'Do you want to turn back time, my child?'

He laughed and said yes.

There is another novel that seems to be a close cousin to this one. "Atticus's Odyssey...."

Not copy and paste clones, but pretty close. The latter lacks the months of tournament arcs this novel has though. The world building is also more interesting.

Is this another wish-fulfillment work in which the MC steals the protagonists' fates and harems?

The author must be trying to wrack his brains trying to salvage this one. He just spent some 2 months - 43 chapters of filler just about a tournament that did nothing for the plot and barely touched the MC. It's a sign the author doesn't know how to bring his plot on track.

This is a review I made in another site and I still stand by it.

Idk if it gets better after chapter 78, but that was where I dropped. The story itself is mind-numbing and exhausting to read at times, theres a lot of focus on pointless monologues and details which could have been done better, the MC gets reborn so you might think this is the start of some booty clapping moments and you would be partially right, but the System is more of a weight than a helper and the only motive he can clap his enemies is because he has a lot of experience from being reborn and they dont. Until chapter 78 there wasnt a single interaction where the system was useful, it feels like it only exists to "fix" a problem created by itself. Not a fun read, I thought that as soon as he got together with the FL things would get more entertaining, but all it did was nerf him with some b*llsh*t reason. Another thing that makes me dislike this novel is how cheaply the author tries to insert "Mystery" into it, not by creating actual mysteries, but by simply not telling us what is happening and omitting even the smallest things.

Ya when the author wants introduce mystery into the novel, he gives partial or just straight-up omits information that's crucial to the story, a lot of novels do this. Like when a mini villain gives the name of the main boss, he just says 'him', that 'being' or wherever the f#ck the author feel like at that time.
