      Tbh I stopped reading Unscientific Beast Taming when I started noticing the heavy racism. It wasn't just racism. Author was acting like all other humans other than chinese were some kind of sub-humans, below even monkeys and only Chinese are true humans. Add to that the cockiness where he looks down on totems completely turned me off. Humans had been enslaved and used as rations and author still pretended that Chinese (because other ethinicities aren't considered true humans) are some kind of hot shit.
