It wasn't climate change that killed us. Nor was it the blue boxes that suddenly appeared in front of us one day.

No, it was what we did with said boxes. All it took was a little nudging from the wrong dark deity and the world spiraled into the abyss.

Twelve years later, only a mere handful of humans remain, fighting against an endless horde, fully aware of the futility of their actions.

A demon lord gets torn to shreds by the last of humanity, determined to go out in a blaze of glory.

In the end, only Isaac Thoma remains to reap the reward for this victory. Another chance. A new go at things from that fateful day the world became quantified. Collapse

    Stupid, naive, idealistic.
The main character, having the experience of the future, literally wastes time on nonsense.
No, the book is interesting. Read interesting. The system is interesting. But the key idea, the basis, I would say, is completely wrong.
Strength is king. Everything else is unimportant. The protagonist should first of all achieve crushing power and then waste time on all sorts of nonsense.
Particularly funny is the participation of a certain professor in the research group. What exactly did he forget in this group? What can he get from them that can compensate for the waste of time and loss of level?
Whatever it is, it's not worth it.

if the goal is yo survive then yes strength is king but if the goal is to protect humans from their own stupidity then strength is the least important factor

          Translations:
          Most people are monkeys.
Monkeys can't hear normal people well.
Monkeys can normally hear only the monkey who is more important than themselves.
Therefore, becoming the most important monkey (or taking control of it) is very important in order to be heard by everyone.

Fun story, MC travels back to start of system arrival.

Plot is that there are good and bad gods, and whenever one side affects the world, the other gets the chance to equally affect it. I.E. good gods decide to save someone’s life, let’s the evil gods kill someone.

The system is designed to kill the world. It easily lets anyone summon monsters (which are much stronger than lvl 1 humans at baseline), these monsters will do their best to kill their summoner and then rampage.

Summoned monsters that end up isolated will start spawning more of their own kind. So it’s really easy for some rural guy to spawn a monster, get killed, and then a month later the entire area is filled with deadly monsters.

MC decided to not try to be the strongest, but help researchers studying the system, to give all the tips and tricks to surviving the system years early.

    Interesting system, fun story.

It’s continuous, he stays strong but cripples his ability to be the strongest human by spending lots of time babying system research

It’s usually a toss-up of a chapter being him leveling, working with researchers, or some outside plot (working with police to kill system using serial killer for example)

I feel that helping the system researches from the get go allowed him to progress the research faster and put him up as a trustworthy person with plenty of power and wouldnt be cuckblocked by the government when hes trying to powerlevel

I do not agree with how the MC does thing if i am in that situation i would do everything to get absolute overwhelming power first, when you get to the level of power when destroying and ending worlds is a simple wave of your hands you will be able to solve every Problems easily. Yet here the MC is acting all smart strategizing planning all that nonsense whatnot just to solve the future. It is not entirely wrong for the MC to do all of this Planning but the MC seems to have forgotten that everything can easily be solved with ABSOLUTE POWER. It's like the MC believes that the power of a SINGLE human cannot change solve the future problems . but that's wrong if a SINGLE being reaches the power to destroy world the Problems the MC is facing can easily be solved
