Really a brilliant novel with good pacing, the thing I most liked about this is fact that mc competitor aren't brain dead or weak ass arrogant young masters that are full of themselves. Instead are down to earth geniuses that try their very best at accomplishing their goals which is obviously to become emperor through schemes and battles without relying on background power. In short every character have a fair chance at growth and sufficient screen time to shine which is something super rare in your typical cultivation novels. And the next thing I liked after that is the mc's power or u can say dao (which is fate), and the reason for that is it's unique( apparently there are not many novels where mc's power is fate or related to it). And the third and last one is mc's background, before digging deeper into it I would like to mention that I am veteran webnovel reader(or at least I think I am) and I have read about a hundred cultivation novels to date( some were mtls but mostly translated)and hence have long grown tired of the usual tropes and cliches, so this novel was a breath of fresh air for me with mc having a great background with no usual sh*t, and lastly for the fellow reader who has been complaining for a while about common sense as how a child ideas were quickly accepted by ancient old monsters and how it doesn't make much sense I would like to point out the fact that somewhere in this novel it was mentioned that babies having a great intelligence from a young age is common in this world(if I don't remember it wrong) and aside from that a little piece of advice from my experience u shouldn't talk common sense in a Chinese cultivation novels where every unimaginable sh*t is possible that just goes to show ur lack of experience in reading of this genre, the very basic strand of common sense is still there to help the understand the hell out of things, but that's all In conclusion after reading enough of this sh*t, you will develop special superhuman abilities like Distorted commen sense (Max lvl) fast as fk reading (max lvl) ignore/skip boring parts or fillers (max lvl) auto translate sh*ts (max lvl) and finally after finally Comprehending the great dao of reading , you will attain immortality like myself and not be bothered by mundane mortal issues like common sense, bad translation and whatnotto those who have read my review till now, good luck on your path to immortality, my fellow daoists! , I the great immortal unpaid landlord am waiting for guys at the peak/summit.
