    I haven't read many Cultivation novels so this one is probably the best one that I have read so far. The World background is probably one of my favorite things since a lot of the past Emperors are just plain cool to learn about. The MC never seems to change intellectually throughout the novel. The main story arcs themselves never seem to repeat like previous cultivation novels I have read. The biggest plus is that there are no YM tropes in this (as of Chapter 621). The cultivation system itself is really interesting, especially with things such as Mortal Dust and the fact that the system itself is changeable and not constant throughout the entire cultivation world.

    So far, there are only 2 things I can say I had/have a problem with in this

    The first is that the first 5-6 chapters were a bit hard to get through since the Author made the MCs birth way too grand imo with the whole image of the future him sitting on a throne appearing in the air and the people in the Upper Realm wanting to kill him because of his potential only to have their memory wiped by people I presume to be from above that realm(like I said, this is the first 5 or so chapters so I'm not going to mark that as a spoiler). Everything after that I was fine with, though I would advise against reading the chapter comments for the first 75-100 chapters since everybody was hating on the story for no real reason. I mean, him starting to cultivate is a bit late imo, but the thing with the Dao Heart Pagoda is really smart since it allows the MC to recognize and try to prevent future problems he could've had before he even starts cultivating.

    The only other problem is that I kind of hope more people than the MC will be able to ascend after the Heaven Will Battle. It's mentioned Early on that the only way to ascend to the Upper realm is to battle all the other "Heavens Chosen" in your generation in order to be the last one standing to claim the Heavens Will which turns a person into an Emperor, which is the realm required to ascend. We've spent 600+ chapters learning about everyone's reason for getting to the upper realm and honestly, I kind of want to see some of them accomplish their goals instead of just being forgotten when the MC Proves the Dao and becomes an Emperor.

      I get where you're coming from, I got attached to some of the characters too, once the heaven will battle starts, i think a lot of readers got attached to atleast one other heaven chosen, but the premise was always that and it's a crucial one. And I kind of like it, competition like that would truly bring the best of the best out and give everyone one immense motivation, otherwise for fights it would've again been someone conquering this place, some old guys resurrected, or some such. It's gotten a bit cliche at this point, so a new concept was refreshing. I know it's from emperor domination, but I felt sage uses it better in the plot, it never felt as relevant in ED.

    But the leading cause of this decline is piracy, and there is nothing I can do about this since Wevnovel, as a company, is simply terrible regarding combatting these things. And I’m powerless since my attempts seemed useless.
    I can only know how much money I will make on January 10, which is itself bullshit since I should be able to monitor my sales. But Webnovel’s coin system is simply a scam as it in no way reflects how much an author makes and can only be estimated. And if the estimation is nowhere near the actual number, there is no way to verify.
    Every 10th, when I see the number drop instead of remaining the same or increasing, it’s very demoralizing. I want to use writing as a job, and financial stability is a way to achieve this. And it does not help that my family considers my writing a hobby instead an actual job. I do not want to spend the rest of my life in a job I hate. I don’t want to give up writing; I want to pursue my passion. Regrettably, dreams cannot feed an empty stomach or pay the bill.
    Now, to the point of this post. I can foresee the pressure I will be under once my family discovers how little I will make this month. So, I need to do some damage control. I will release 2 chapters from tomorrow until December 31st to use numbers to make up for the sales. But I cannot do it alone. I need my readers’ help.
    I know I cannot stop people from pirating my work. However, even if you do, there are ways you can help. Vote with Power Stones and Golden Ticket. Leave a comment on every chapter–even if it’s just “thanks” or some meme or gif. Write me a positive review, and tell your friends and family about the book. Post them in the comment section of some machine translation websites to garner more viewers. Or spread it on some social media as a recommendation to people.
    You can even post this post in the review sections of these pirated websites to try to guilt trip some people—anything to spread awareness and draw in more viewers.
    Secondly, I know not everyone can support me financially with how Webnovel is set up, buying each chapter and the right to privilege. However, if you have some extra money and thought: “How could I support sage?” Easy, go to my Patreon and donate a little–even if you’re not a fan of my HP fan fiction.     Dropping this novel at chapter 237. Novel started with an interesting premise. It has a pretty good world building. The writing has many flaws, including typos and autocorrects, yes, some words are entirely different then what they are meant to be. But the reason for me dropping is mainly for the shitty character development that MC has. MC has gone through a trial which honed his will and dao, making him invincible when it comes to controlling his emotions and his will. But there were many instances that MC wasn't able to control his anger.
    Meanwhile, back in the floating booth that Wang Wei was in, he instantly pulverized the cup of tea that was in his hand after hearing what Bai Han said, then he looked deeply at the headmaster.

    Also the quality of the chapters fell down after chapter 200 or something. The story wasn't as interesting since it became more political than MC pursuing his strength. Author started using typical clichés like face slapping to continue with many filler chapters. Even the author himself said that in an announcement.
    For all my readers, I am sorry that I have not been posting the past few days. The truth of the matter is that I'm truly burn out with writing this story, adding to things happening in my personal life, I decided to take a little break.

    I really wanted to keep on reading this, but I just can't.
