just an edgy kid who always calls himself a demon emperor/cunning old monster.
Even though what actually happened throughout the story was that he was no different from the Shounen xianxia MC in general, cruel to the enemy and kind to his own people, even willing to sacrifice himself for them.and what happens more often is that he wins not because of his intelligence but because of his plot armor.
For the characters here, most of them are ordinary, sometimes even acting stupid so that the MC looks smart. There are indeed smart opponents, but only a few, and often the MC wins because of his plot armor.

I heard this has a bad ending... So can someone spoil the ending for me? Its a cultivation novel so there isnt anything very bad abt getting spoiled anyway....

I heard he made everyone forget abt himself or smth like that.... In the end does his wife remember him or not? Do they get back eventually? I honestly dont like cultivation harems and harem especially doesnt fit this mc who generally doesnt give a f*ck abt women...

Nah its good I think, all those women weren't his in the first place. He only loved one and he was with her at the end so he wasn't ntr or anything for that matter. Morever it was inevitable what he had done. It's just a bittersweet ending but not that bad particularly the contest between the /spoiler The Sovereigns and the mc /spoiler.

After reading 400 ch. I have only one question in my mind. How can a person conquer the world if he can't conquer is own heart?

Why people read reincarnation story?
Generally reader want some change between 1 & 2nd life, some eureka moment, some charecter development. This story has none of those.

Ridiculous a slaves obsession turned Demonic emperor into Steward.

Just finished reading the available chapters. I have some good things to say but let me start with the potential deal-breakers.

The title isn't mincing words with the 'Demonic' moniker. The MC is ruthlessly brutal, and very much doesn't have a good person hidden inside just wanting to come out. He isn't a petty asshole, he's a mass-murdering tyrant. Goodytwoshoes beware.

A necessary tag that's missing is Sexism/Male Chauvinism. It gets pretty heavy at times.

Plot-Pushing Idiocy is another, HOWEVER! the author is actually pretty good about it. They wield it like a well-practiced artist. It's rarely the jaw-dropping obliviousness you so often see, with plot-armor made out of diamond nanoweave. Sometimes it's even subtle enough that most people wouldn't notice it. I absolutely abhor plot armor via idiocy, but even I managed to make it through this novel without much complaint; the ratio of good substance vs forced bullshit was very acceptable.

The author also has a bad habit of using character's dialogs to explain things that should have been left to narration. It ends up looking kind of silly, but it's a small fault. I just take it as a comedy bit from a story that doesn't try to take itself more seriously than it is, like in purposely made B movies.

Finally, the harem tag is barely earned. So far it's more like the extra packs of sauce you don't use when you order dinner delivery.

Now for the shining star of this novel:

The schemes! The author really did a great job. A clear cut above the legions of neophytes who seem like they've never played a true RTS or 4X game on hard. This isn't one of those novels that get bogged down in boring political jockeying. The novel gets on with it, with plenty of action behind all the talk.

Word of warning, though. The author did get into one or two several-chapter-long word battles, though it seems they learned from their mistake and put a stop to it completely.

Lastly, the humor is on point. None of that overly obvious, low-hanging fruit picking and over-use of over-used tropes that pollutes the majority of novels. This isn't a comedy-focused novel, however. Its just peppered in, quite nicely though.

A worthwhile read.
