I heard a lot about racism in this book so I wasn’t planning to read this but I’m back here and wondering how bad it really is. Can someone explain how bad and how often this racism shows up? How often we see America and Japan look bad? Honestly even if they are bad it’s not like there is any country out there that is actually spot free, so I’d rather not see too much bias in a novel. If someone can clarify it for me that would be perfect

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and the translation is also good. Chapters 100 to 300 provided an intriguing glimpse into the world of storage auctions in the USA. Although some details, like the remarkably swift interstate drives, may lack realism, the overall narrative is engaging and enjoyable. The story offers a fun and insightful exploration of the storage auction life.

Despite reader complaints about perceived racism within the story, I find that these elements contribute to a sense of realism. In my opinion, they enhance the authenticity of the novel, adding layers to the narrative that make it a more compelling read.

Recommended for a reader who like : business / merchant / monogamy / pets / slick protagonist / pets ( lotttsss of pets. lol)

It's not bad per say but it's certainly not good. There's a lot of American racism against the Chinese MC, a lot of being misplaced and just out of the blue. The MC himself is a bit odd as well and the romance is all over the place.. Also, this is a storage auction story and takes place in America, so the title is a little misleading.
