    I really enjoyed reading this story. Without going into spoilers, it delivered on everything the premise promised. If the cover blurb caught your attention, I strongly suggest giving the story a read, especially since it can be binged in a day or two.

    The writing style is probably one of the strongest elements of the story. Quill is masterful in setting the scene and weaving the fabric of his worlds. The pacing of the story also fits with the overall narrative. If you enjoyed reading Firebrand you should give Blood Eagle a shot. It’s set in the same universe, a few centuries prior to the main story.

    Comparatively the weakest part of the story are the characters. While the side characters are interesting only the MC gets a chance to truly grow with the passage of time.
