MC accepts 2 more disciples in the upper world and face slaps a few people in the virtual world, eventually joining a major sword sect. MC comprehends some God's sword intent and becomes the sect leader, before leading his disciples to unite all the major sects.

Then, it turns out the founder in the upper realm was an evil clone left behind by the actual founder when he was ascending to the 2nd upper realm (the firmament). It also turns out that the FL is from the firmament, as well as the major antagonists from the lower world (otherworldly demons). MC defeats the evil clone and becomes a god, ascending to the firmament as well.

After ascending to the firmament MC accepts another disciple and finds that the entire realm is losing all its resources because of a hole in the heavens of that realm. MC face slaps the whole realm again and finds that both the FL and the original founder from the lower world are max-realm beings (God-kings) in the firmament. It also turns out that the missing piece of the heavens split into 3 pieces, which went into MC, FL, and the original founder respectively, giving all 3 of them different golden fingers (like the MC's library). To fix the heavens, the 3 need to kill each other to absorb each other's cheats and stop the firmament from collapsing.

MC pulls some BS and successfully fixes the hole without killing the other 2 with golden fingers (I forget if he absorbs their golden fingers). But while fixing it, MC's servant somehow reaches peak god-king and betrays him. MC plot armors his way to max realm + 1 and kills him, fixing the hole. Then MC meets the heavens of the firmament (who is a person?), who tells MC that he is the FL's father and that the hole in the heavens appeared because he was attacked by a higher being while trying to ascend past the firmament.

Now that the firmament is safe, MC marries the FL and FL2 (a side character who liked him since the 1st lower realm), and the book ends.

Many people who like this work live on nostalgia, because it was probably one of the first works they read, it was something "incredible" at the time, but that's it. It was never a very elaborate work.

I still remember laughing at the absurdity of having people compete on reading a million books in a few seconds as a test. Author was creating a speedreasing novel.
