Cal was the pride of his guild, the one that other Initiates looked up to. Then he died. So did his guild.

His understanding of the world shattered before his death. His guild was nothing compared to others, which meant he was the best of the worst.

When Cal was given a second chance, he wouldn’t repeat his mistakes. Who cared about being a [Mage] when it would just mean death? He would survive, even if it meant being something he sneered at in his previous life.

A [Farmer].

Of course, when did anything go according to plan? Never.

Quite frankly, I should've believed the earlier reviewers. I'm at book 2 chapter 33 as of this comment, and I can say apart from 6/7 chapters of overarching plot development, this has been the most boring slice of life novel I've read.

And despite the strong premise the prologue would have you believe, the mc does not exercise that level of cunning at all, save for rare plot developments and speculation.

    6/10.

Boring. Nothing interesting happened in 40 chapters.

The only positive thing I can say about this novel is it isn't a MTL translation. It has pretty good grammar and nearly no writing errors AFAIK. But the plot is boring, world building is very sparse and we know nothing about the setting so far. The MC is plain and not well created. We don't know anything important about him, he doesn't remember much from the previous timeline, we don't know if he has a family, if he has parents, how old he is, etc.

Story is a bit too slow and chapters are too short. Seems like the author put a cap limit on himself. Read after 200 chapters is recommended.

This is a good novel. Well 29 chapters is too little.

Seems interesting, I dont think we should compare this with Chinese farming cultivation novels. But srsly tho, why is farming suddenly becoming a big trend

people love a progressive slice of life. But other 'progressive' tropes can snowball out of hand too fast. Not that farming novels couldn't, but it seems to be easier to slow down without too much frustration on the readers side.
