    It's a great story, and I often go back to re-read certain parts of it.
    Recommendation: Unfortunately, the beginning of the story is quite boring and annoying, to put it mildly. However, I recommend simply skipping the water and reading the initial events superficially, omitting a significant portion of them (they don't deserve more). .
    Still, after the initial chapters, it's worth reading the story almost in its entirety (skipping the water is still encouraged, although there's a chance of missing the jokes closer to the middle).
    Unfortunately, my memories are not very fresh, so I can't provide guidance on which chapters make the story interesting enough for a complete reading.

    I've read the comment from this dude and thought it couldnt be that bad, but it is that bad.     The start is as the description says and the background of the MC is someone who transmigrated into a Young Master of the Jiang Clan, but since he is younger and "less talented" than his cousin and his predecessor was bullied because he was timid, so MC leaves his Clan and 500 years later he is the Human Emperor. And its here the part that I hate begins, after he became a Human Emperor his Clan and Cousin used his fame to get more Power and colluded with the City Officials so that they would turn a blind to them lying and saying the Human Emperor backed them and his Cousin and Clan started sacrificing CHILDREN to live longer and advance his Demonic Cultivation.

    Instead of directly showing himself and killing everyone involved to show he didnt have anything to do with it he goes undercover and tries to play by the rules with corrupt people, that was enough for me to leave and never look back at this trash.

      Comrade Taoist, in my humble opinion, this is a great novel, but the first ≈100 chapters are terrible. I recommend that you read this novel, but only skim the first 100 chapters. (Start at the beginning and skim the chapters with intriguing titles)

    Another fairly unique idea by this author. Execution could use a bit of work though, feels like a lot of scenes/plot points are stretched more than they should be.

    The biggest problem by far is the translation however. Anyone who’s vaguely used to MTL won’t mind it, but it’s terrible for anyone else. And the story, whilst being unique, has not shown itself to be good enough to ignore the translation unfortunately.

    I blame this ‘ 549690339’. This translator is known for having mediocre translations at the start and once locked chapters on webnovel start up, the quality falls to below edited MTL. Can’t believe people pay for his shit.

      Is the translation that bad? Fortunately, English is not my native language, and my browser's auto-translator does a great job. (It's very good at translating to my language, but otherwise, it's very average.)

    A mystery story about the strongest human, walking around with stupid missions from system
    (not really stupid, but outdated for 500 years)
    And stumbling upon some controversies, then solving them.
    Nothing out of the ordinary, but it have a bit strange humour, that, I never saw done exactly like that.
    There were not big problems with translation either, at least for now.

        Don't listen to that idiot comment, if you want to read sonething "off-meta" , thos novel is great. It's a light-style OP MC with subtle xianxia trope satire. Like ,a trope might appear, but it'd be done in a humorous way. There's plot and people even die , but it's more like "Seinfeld xianxia".
