Adopted into the Ye Clan, Ye Guan is clueless about who he is and where he comes from.

One day, an opportunity comes where he is acquainted with a not-so-little Little Pagoda and was bestowed a sword. Under the guidance of a Great Sword Immortal, Ye Guan is ready to take on the world. But so was his father and grandfather…

In a universe with multiple realms, Ye Guan started from a very insignificant clan, in an insignificant state. With his almost god-like sword, follow Ye Guan on his journey as he makes a name for himself and finds out who he truly is. With a refreshingly straightforward personality, you can expect the unexpected when it comes to Ye Guan…

For example, he makes it a point to kill his opponents before they can make any dramatic pre-war declarations.

“Ye Guan, today will be your death anniver—” Squelch! And the guy was killed…

MC: Why bother shit talking before a fight?

In this fast-paced novel, there’s gonna be a lot of ‘wait what?’ moments, xxx moments and blah blah blah. Collapse

Started out with promise, then was double tapped to the head. Cultivation realms mean nothing when you can fight someone 10 realms ahead of you with ease.

I'm fine with harems, but this is the clumsiest and most forced harem that I can remember. MC is oblivious when it comes to women.

The reason I dropped this was because of a lack of propriety.

"Ruthless Protagonist" understates things quite a bit. If one person offends MC or his family/protectors, that person dies, their clan dies, and the world they live on is destroyed. They pluck the weeds by the roots, then torch the yard, the forest, the country, and the rest of the planet just to be sure.

It's all a bit much for me. Even the "good" guys kill zillions of innocent people. The story doesn't even mention that they give a single thought to all the completely innocent people they slaughter. Lives in this one aren't even treated like grass. They're just nothing.

I like my good characters to actually be good, and the callous disregard for life in this novel is so outrageous that even calling the "good" guys evil feels like an understatement.

That aside, the translation's great, the humor's solid, and the story is mostly decent. I just couldn't handle all the "good" guys being complete monsters. If you're okay with that I recommend this one.

This is definitely for veteran readers, it's not that bad but you need to empty your brain to read this, it's an ok because it's quite fast paced or woulda dropped early tbh

One of the best I have ever read. Has a lot of cliches but they are masterfully used.

It does not give the feeling of reading a webnovel, as it is a very emotionless, very plainly written text. If a 15-year-old wrote a story, it would look like this (Maybe its due to translation, but I don't think so)
The story flow is mediocre and ridiculous, some names are very similar and confused, the author does not fully explain the power of some things (such as clan, people, sect, school).
Anyway, this novel gets 4/10 at most because its about swords and the fights are at least partially good.
