Arrogant Young Master Template A Variation 4 by LivingSpoon

This is a prime example of how a potentially good story can be ruined by a lazy and poorly-written protagonist. I've read novels with lazy main characters before, but they were executed well and suited the story. In this case, the MC is lazy to the point of absurdity—he wants to get stronger but refuses to put in the effort, despite having the system handing him every advantage on a silver platter. Instead of utilizing these gifts, he constantly whines about not wanting to work hard. As the story progresses, it starts to fall apart, with random, disconnected events happening for no reason. It's clear the author is just padding the word count—case in point: the MC spends three pages counting cycles. Does the author really believe readers need that level of detail to understand? It feels as though the story was written just for the sake of it, without any real direction or effort behind it.

I'm at a loss. In my opinion, this is a fun and light novel, filled with banter and irony about all these clichéd trash novels, but there seem to be "experts" gathered here who are discussing character development, plot development and other bullshit with hellish seriousness! Phe!

was ok for about 90 chapters as a persiflage of some cliches, then the author decided it's too good and cr###d on it. so it became totally unreadable
