    I don't get why someone would despair when they transmigrate into the body of an arrogant young master who will insult the main character and become a stepping stone, when all of this could be avoided by just ignoring the main character.

    Most arrogant young masters no matter how annoying, tend to have lots of potential and connections, some things a transmigrant can take advantage of, instead of whining and worrying about the main character you haven't even met yet.

    And if by some bad luck you transmigrate after the young master has already gotten on the bad side of the main character, just do the manliest thing possible; admit your mistakes (even though they weren't technically yours, but since you're inheriting everything the young master owns, including his money and items, you can't complain when you inherit his burdens as well) and apologize, compensate the guy with some money or items, and there, problem avoided 🤷‍♂️. (Unless of course, the young master did some unforgivable shit, then in that case, you might wanna need the system while you despair.)

      but thats only for their own territory or realm, when you already know how many more realms there are and you got no mc halo or cheat wont you despair too? Even the talent they are so proud of is only so so in the grand scale of things.

        They're lazy most of the time, and their arrogance tend to get in the way of their potential. If they took cultivation seriously, worked hard, and became humble, even if their potential won't get them very far, who's to say that a wondering hidden big shot won't notice their qualities (hard working and humble) and take them in as their disciple? It's not like this doesn't happen to main characters.

      If you have not understood yet, there is a very small amount of authors that write good and interesting novels. Most of them currently are trying to run on the trend with making 'evil' mc's, or 'young master' mcs(in the end, they were misanderstood, or the mc just reincarnated and is going to change everything). They totally fail because they can not write true evil or cuning or even smart mcs (to write a attracting and complicated plot, you need to be smart yourself and understand human psycology). That is why all these average authors write average novels because that is only what they are capable of. I am not being mean, I am stating the truth even though it may sound harsh. This novel's mc was trash, as you pointed out, there were a lot of things he could have done, but author wanted to make him with the mind of a 12-13 year old. I do not know any adult males that act like that. hokage

    it's pretty funny and well written but the internal monologue of the MC is a tad exhausting. I wish he'd spend more time doing stuff instead of overthinking everything.

      Actually scratch that, after 50 chapters or so it takes a weird turn; it's not really comedic anymore and the story is a jumbled mess. It gets increasingly nonsensical and I have no idea what's happening, why, or even who's talking anymore.

      It feels like the author forgot to add entire chapters of lore and backstory to make sense of the plot, and even then I'm not sure if these developments would fit with the spirit of the early chapters of the novel.

    I'll catch up and do a review later, it's pretty popular on Royalroad, though a fair warning, there's one big thing that's really off-putting that becomes mentioned pretty deep in; I'll spoiler tag it for anyone who doesn't wanna see it.

    I dropped a bit after this was introduced so I don't know how big a plot point it becomes. Overall though, this is a good book.

    Writing is above average and the characters are pretty good. Solid pacing and world-building. The action is hella clunky and confusing though, definitely the novel's weak point. The strong point here is the comedy (though that lessens as we go on, unfortunately) and the characters.

    This one is worth the read. It's talking about a white guy who got transmigrated into a Xianxia World parody, which is really funny. Although he had read plenty of such novels and had quite some knowledge, he has a superficial understanding of the world, culture, and stuff, what should he do or what should he not do. Also, he is kinda dumb, which made it funnier

    Really interesting read, since it was written better with much more details. It doesn't just throw you into the story immediately like most Xianxia + system genres, expecting you to already know everything. The pacing is also done well and doesn't rush like most other novels in the same genre. Basically, it's the same story told from a different perspective.

    I'm only in chapter 2 by the way, and I'm already amused.

    It's also funny how he reacts to the daily thing that most other Xianxia novels gloss over. Like going to pee, taking a shit, whether there is toilet paper, etc. Really funny the way he talks about it.

    Edit chapter 20: After reading for a while, I've noticed the flaw of this novel. It's the lack of certain explanations. I'm sometimes confused about what is happening. Like when he visited the prison to check on this guy, there is no explanation, no backstory, who is this guy? Why is he locked up? What is he going to use him for? Nothing. I'm totally confused, or did I miss something in the previous chapter? It's not the first time something like this happened.

    Edit chapter 27: I have now realized why there are so many missing explanations and inconsistencies. All the voice transmissions were omitted due to this website's inability to cater for > and < characters. Time to go to the source website to read.

        I didn't really read everything from the Xianxia genre. The ones I've read are really old and really not to many people's taste since it's really old that many have never touched such stories before, like:
        A Will Eternal
        I Shall Seal the Heavens
        Martial World
        True Martial World
        Coiling Dragon
        The Desolate Era

        These are all very old and will not appeal to most.
        The recent ones I've read should be the ones with OP MC I guess.
        Like:
        Top Tier Providence, Secretly Cultivate for a Thousand Years
        I Am Really Not The Son of Providence
        Invincible Uncle-Grandmaster

        You can try these if you're into harem-centric work:
        Before I Died, I Forcibly Kissed The Heroine
        Please, I Really Didn’t Want To Fall in Love With My Master!

        I've read many more, but most of them, I really don't recommend, too much a chore and difficult to read. Bonus recommendation will be:
        Divine Emperor of Death (If you can get through the cringe, it's satisfying when they trash assholes that deserves it, it's what keeping from dropping)
        Warlock of the Magus World
