Chapter 568: Infinite resurrection |
Soon, the ancestor was done with his breakthrough, and it fully stabilized with the Yellow Ancestor’s help.
Once it was done, they began moving even closer to the Holy Corpse, or the Enlightened Body, as his Chaos Lotus called it.
I wonder who gave it the name Holy Corpse, Grey thought as he finally saw the corpse more clearly.
It was a glowing golden humanoid body, and plastered right on its face was a huge talisman with special, odd inscriptions.
The chant grew even louder as they approached the epicenter.
Grey could sense multiple presences of breakthrough around the immediate area.
It was highly likely all the Crystal Zerg eighth-rank powerhouses were using this golden opportunity to rise above their ranks.
"Everyone. Let us initiate the fight," Andrew declared as he turned to Grey.
Grey nodded. "Then, ancestors, if you would please."
The Holy Corpse was around the size of several thousand galaxies combined, and surrounding it was the huge defensive formation of the Crystal Zerg, with the abyss holding the inner ring.
The following moment, massive spatial cracks began rapidly forming all around that circular formation, and out of them, the grand army of angels began pouring out.
They even enlarged their bodies for the fear factor.
Whrmm!
Inside the circular formation, red alerts blared loudly as Crystal Zerg soldiers began pouring out to defend the line.
"They have finally arrived, huh?" The leader of the Crystal Zerg race sneered, brandishing his jagged weapon.
Around him sat forty-one other eighth rankers.
However, the following moment, his expression began paling.
He realized something shocking.
At first, only twelve or so angels came out of the spatial cracks. He foolishly thought that was all they had.
But much to his dismay, more and more began pouring out relentlessly.
Boom!
A powerful explosion resounded from the outside as several powerful presences came rushing in.
It was an army of one hundred Nexus angels, and along with them, the Void-Severing Ancestor, the Yellow Ancestor, and Andrew were leading the charge.
"Impossible."
"When did the Myriad-Race Alliance have so many eighth rankers?"
"Since today," a playful voice rang out right beside him.
"Argh!" The following moment, he heard a piercing scream from one of his fellow eighth-ranking powerhouses.
He turned his head around to see a youth who looked less than twenty, with six genetic limiters opened up. The general beside him directly disintegrated and completely disappeared the following moment.
"Are you not that saint who reached the fifth rank in a year?" The leader’s eyes widened in sheer horror.
"Nice to meet you," Grey smiled kindly.
"Now, seniors. I will leave them to you," Grey said as he disappeared with a snap of his fingers.
He reappeared directly above the circular formation of the Crystal Zerg.
The Nexus angels’ combined power was systematically collapsing the grand formation; powerful radiance erupted from everywhere.
In a few short moments, the circular formation was completely unraveled.
By now, the abyss had already noticed the arrival of their forces.
They were already rushing in to reinforce.
At the same time, Grey sensed some ancestors dying.
He frowned. The following moment, he appeared right beside their shattered remains and used [Ingel].
Boom!
They came back to life with the exact same speed they died.
They were second-level eighth rankers. The one who killed them was an eighth-ranking Abyssal General.
The general looked completely shocked seeing the two coming back to life right before his eyes. But before he could even blink, his own core broke apart, and he died instantly.
"What a joke," Grey sighed.
Then, he felt more ancestors dying, but he arrived just in time to resurrect them as well.
By now, everyone across the battlefield was completely terrified by the powers displayed by Grey.
One time was a miracle, a second time was a shock, but by now, this marked the third time!
And Grey did not stop. Whenever someone died, he would immediately teleport and resurrect them.
"Actually. Can I not just give the Nexus angels this power?"
He experimented while a powerful battle was ongoing around him.
He called one angel over and directly transplanted the structural information of [Ingel].
The reason [Ingel] could reach such a level of power was strictly due to Axiom power. It shouldn’t normally have such a terrifying, flawless effect, but Axiom power amplified the reality-altering effect by a massive margin.
Soon, the powers were transmitted to the angel, and he made the angel use it on one dead general of the abyss.
They directly resurrected.
"It works." Grey was happy. Through his mental connection, he immediately began transmitting this information to all the other angels as well.
With this, there were no more casualties.
Everyone resurrected in an instant.
The battle was no longer fair.
Unless Azathoth himself stepped in, no one would be able to stop them.
Not the Crystal Zerg race, not the abyss.
His Nexus angels were just that terrifyingly strong.
Their sheer number, five thousand and one hundred, was not something the cumulative eighth rankers on the other side, about two hundred and ten of them, could possibly resist.
Combine that with top experts like the Void-Severing Ancestor, the Yellow Ancestor, and Andrew.
This battle was equivalent to dropping a hydrogen bomb on a coughing baby.
The victory was rightfully theirs.
With Grey’s help, they completely cleared out all the abyssal camps, and he forcefully sealed shut the World Breaking Source Power portals by directly absorbing the power inside them.
This permanently sealed the coordinates shut, preventing them from appearing here again.
Right now, he had two full charges of World Breaking Source Power.
He could use it twice.
"I should probably go to another world. Somewhere unique while all this is over, to gather inspiration for the path."
He needed to work on the seventh rank now that he was at the sixth rank; he was just five levels away from that rank, after all.
Hence, he needed to be hasty.
But for now, it was time to focus entirely on the Holy Corpse.
