Chapter 209

Can the pinball space really record the consciousness of others?

After this question arose, it occasionally flashed through Su Hao’s mind.

The fundamental reason was that Su Hao felt a threat, a real, life-threatening threat.

Previously, he thought of himself as the most special one. Inside the pinball space, only his consciousness information existed, making the pinball space naturally his personal property.

Relying on the characteristics of the pinball space, obtaining eternity seemed natural.

However, when this doubt arose, Su Hao started feeling a bit uneasy!

The future is long, unlimitedly long. If, in the future, other consciousness information unintentionally enters the pinball space, what should he do?

In other words, what would happen?

Is it possible that, just as he devoured the information within the pinball space, the newly recorded consciousness information might inadvertently devour him?

The universe is vast, with countless powerful beings. He couldn’t be sure that he could definitely defeat any recorded consciousness information. He only needed one powerful being to appear, and then he would truly be finished.

And this is also the reason why Su Hao made the determined decision to rebuild the ‘Light of the Universe’.

The fifth section, the ‘Expansion Permission Section’, was established for this purpose.

The goal is singular: to set permissions for consciousness information that is intentionally or unintentionally recorded into the pinball space.

And now, it’s reached the testing phase.

Permissions are divided into several levels,

Level one: Even if consciousness information is recorded, one cannot be aware of the space’s existence, equivalent to consciousness being locked.

Level two: Consciousness can enter the pinball space to a limited extent, but it’s confined within the small black room, unable to perceive more information or access any functions.

Level three: Consciousness can to a limited extent enter the small black room, and can moderately alter the virtual environment of the small black room.

And so on, each level opening up a few minor permissions.

This is used to test the effectiveness of the small black room and to fix any possible loopholes within it.

But, the premise is that all of this must happen within the small black room. Su Hao absolutely doesn’t allow anyone to share the pinball space with him.

Yes, it involves a fundamental issue; Su Hao is indeed so petty.

So, the question arises: how can one confine a consciousness information within the small black room and ensure that this consciousness information can’t escape from the small black room?

After thinking for a while, Su Hao came up with a reliable answer.

“The first method involves constructing a mental maze, restricting the extension of thought, making it continuously loop in place, but it’s difficult to control the permissions.

The second method utilizes the immense computational function of the Little Light to establish a powerful information access rule set, using the space’s positive and negative characteristics, building a ‘permit’ and ‘reject’ bidirectional access mechanism for the small black room, then assigning all permissions within the small black room as ‘reject access’. This thoroughly intercepts the information inside the small black room within the defined scope.”

However, for Su Hao, this is still not secure, so such a small black room must be layered upon itself, endlessly nested, with each layer executing different rules to enforce the command of refusal to access.

If some consciousness information unintentionally breaks through the innermost layer of the small black room, there’s another layer waiting for it.

In the tenth layer, an information erasure mechanism is set. If consciousness information continuously breaches more than ten layers, the segment of information will be permanently deleted automatically.

This process loops.

The most crucial thing is that Su Hao wants to construct such a small black room with at least ten thousand layers, the more secure, the better.

Regarding erasing information, Su Hao tried it. Using a large amount of information and intense impact, it can disperse and destroy the information structure of a rule, forming a chaotic flow of information to achieve erasure.

Su Hao looked at the small round mouse quietly staying in the small black room and murmured, “The current small black room is in an absolutely prohibited state of information retrieval. Even if the weak consciousness of the small round mouse can switch to the pinball space, perception is a complete darkness and stillness, like blocking all perception.”

Su Hao was very satisfied with his masterpiece, saying, “In other words, even if the small round mouse enters the pinball space, it won’t be aware that it has entered. It will just think it closed its eyes and took a nap.”

Next, Su Hao will proceed with the second round of testing.

That is to grant second-level permissions to one of the small round mice, making it aware that it has entered a strange enclosed space.

Su Hao instructed Little Light, saying, “Little Light, grant second-level permissions to Subject G-3.”

“Little Light received. Second-level permissions granted, attempting to forcibly summon the consciousness of Subject G-3, summon successful, Subject G-3 has entered the small black room. Next, will construct the scene of the small black room and test Subject G-3’s response, collecting data.”

Little Light quickly responded, not needing much direction from Su Hao, and fulfilled all of Su Hao’s requirements one by one.

Su Hao praised, “Indeed, the experience after the upgrade is completely different.”

In Su Hao’s field of vision, the small round mouse marked as G-3 immediately started to move.

Clearly, a moment ago, it was playing with its companions in the cage, and the next moment, it inexplicably found itself in this dim and narrow place, causing extreme panic.

“Squeak, squeak!” It helplessly turned around, then emitted a frightened cry, seemingly calling for its companions!

After running in the narrow small black room for a while, it stopped in fear, huddling in a corner of the small black room.

Su Hao’s mood, however, was very complicated.

Until this moment, the answer was already very clear!

As long as the corresponding method is found, the consciousness information of any life can be recorded into the pinball space.

He, Su Hao, is indeed not the special one, just fortunate to be the first!

He truly is just an ordinary person.

This made Su Hao both fearful and relieved.

The fear lies in the fact that he is not as invincible and immortal as previously imagined; he still might face complete death.

The point of relief lies in the fact that he has confirmed that there is no higher controlling entity above him, specially designing this pinball space for him.

He, Su Hao, truly entered the pinball space inadvertently.

The logic behind this is simple: if Su Hao were special, it would inevitably hide unimaginable secrets, implying manipulation, which is terrifying to think about.

If Su Hao isn’t special, it means all of this is a coincidence.

Perhaps it’s the first coincidence ever to occur in the history of the universe.

The probability of Su Hao’s consciousness information accidentally colliding into the pinball space is incredibly small, almost close to impossible.

This event, compared to Su Hao actively recording the consciousness of the small round mouse and integrating it into the pinball space, is fundamentally different.

However, with one instance of this kind of coincidence, there could be a second time, and that’s what makes Su Hao most nervous.

“Perhaps, in the distant future, while I’m unaware, the pinball space might be invaded by other consciousnesses! I have to be cautious!”

For the first time, Su Hao felt what intense crisis meant!

Su Hao resolved inwardly: “First, I must find every possible way to become stronger as soon as possible, like a divine saint from myths, indestructible, guarding my own achievements.”

He really didn’t want all the knowledge accumulated through countless hardships across who knows how many worlds to ultimately become someone else’s stepping stone.

If that were the case, just the thought of it feels somewhat sad!

Thinking this, Su Hao continued giving instructions, “Little Light, grant it the third-level permissions!”

“Third-level permissions have been granted.”

Just after waiting for a moment, the small black room where the small round mouse stayed underwent a change, leaving Su Hao completely dumbfounded.

    Chapter 209

Can the Marble Space really record the consciousness of other living beings?

Ever since this question first occurred to him, it had resurfaced in Su Hao's mind from time to time.

    The reason was simple.

For the first time in a long while, he felt a genuine threat—a threat to his very existence.

Previously, Su Hao had always believed he was unique. His consciousness alone existed within the Marble Space, making it his exclusive domain.

Because of the Marble Space's extraordinary properties, eternal existence had seemed like the natural conclusion.

But once this doubt appeared, he could no longer remain completely at ease.

    The future stretched on endlessly.

If, someday, another consciousness accidentally entered the Marble Space...

    What would happen then?

Could it be that, just as he had gradually assimilated the information stored within the Marble Space, another recorded consciousness might one day assimilate him instead?

    The universe was unimaginably vast.

Who could say with certainty that no being more powerful than himself existed?

    He didn't need countless enemies.

He only needed a single existence stronger than himself to appear, and everything he had built could be lost.

That was precisely why Su Hao had made the firm decision to completely rebuild Little Light.

The fifth module he added—Permission Management—existed solely for this purpose.

Its only objective was to establish permissions for any consciousness intentionally or unintentionally recorded inside the Marble Space.

    Now...

The project had entered its testing phase.

Permissions were divided into multiple levels.

The first level completely isolated consciousness. Even if it were successfully recorded inside the Marble Space, it would never realize where it was. From its own perspective, nothing had happened.

The second level allowed limited awareness of the Marble Space, but the consciousness remained confined inside a sealed black room. It could perceive nothing beyond it and had no access to any functions.

The third level still restricted the consciousness to the black room but granted limited authority to alter its virtual surroundings.

Each higher permission level simply unlocked a few additional privileges.

These permission levels existed purely to test the black room itself and eliminate any potential flaws.

    Regardless of the permission level...

Everything had to remain inside that black room.

Su Hao absolutely refused to share the Marble Space with anyone.

    Yes.

When it came to something this fundamental, he readily admitted that he was extremely possessive.

    That led to another question.

How could a recorded consciousness be permanently confined inside the black room without ever escaping?

After much thought, Su Hao arrived at two possible solutions.

The first was to construct an endless mental maze, trapping every thought inside an infinite loop.

However, controlling permissions within such a maze would be extremely difficult.

The second solution was far more practical.

By relying on Little Light's immense computational capabilities, he could construct an information access protocol based on the positive and negative properties of the Marble Space.

Every request would pass through two permission gates.

    Permit.

    Reject.

Everything inside the black room would default to Reject, preventing any information from crossing its boundaries.

Even then, Su Hao still wasn't satisfied.

    One layer wasn't enough.

    Neither were two.

    Or ten.

He intended to stack black rooms within black rooms, nesting them layer upon layer.

Every layer would execute different permission rules while reinforcing the command to reject all outward access.

Even if a consciousness somehow escaped the innermost room...

Another prison would immediately await it.

On the tenth layer, he even installed an automatic information erasure mechanism.

Should any consciousness somehow break through ten consecutive layers, the escaping fragment of information would be destroyed immediately.

The process would then repeat endlessly.

    Even so...

    Su Hao still wasn't satisfied.

His ultimate goal was to create no fewer than ten thousand nested layers.

    The more secure, the better.

    As for destroying information...

He had already confirmed it was possible.

By using an overwhelming flood of information to collide with an existing information structure, its logical framework could be shattered, dissolving into meaningless informational chaos.

    That was true deletion.

    ...

Su Hao quietly observed the little round mouse lying motionless inside one of the black rooms.

"The current black room completely blocks all information exchange."

"Even if the little round mouse's weak consciousness can enter the Marble Space, it won't perceive anything at all."

"To it, entering the Marble Space is no different from closing its eyes and taking a nap."

Su Hao looked quite satisfied with his work.

Next came the second phase of testing.

    This time...

He would grant one of the little round mice Level Two permission, allowing it to realize that it had entered an unfamiliar enclosed space.

    "Little Light."

"Grant Subject G-3 Level Two permission."

    "Command received."

    "Level Two permission granted."

"Attempting forced consciousness transfer for Subject G-3."

    "Transfer successful."

"Subject G-3 has entered the black room."

    "Constructing the test environment."

"Beginning behavioral observation and data collection."

    Little Light responded instantly.

Without requiring additional instructions, it automatically carried out every step according to Su Hao's intentions.

    Su Hao smiled.

"The upgrade really makes a tremendous difference."

Within his observation window, the little round mouse labeled G-3 suddenly became active.

Only moments ago, it had been happily playing with the other mice inside its cage.

    The next instant...

It found itself alone inside a dim, cramped room.

    It froze.

    Then panic erupted.

    "Squeak! Squeak!"

The little mouse spun in circles, crying loudly as though desperately calling for its companions.

After frantically running around the tiny room for quite some time, it finally exhausted itself.

Trembling, it curled into a corner, too frightened to move.

Su Hao's emotions, however, became extremely complicated.

    By this point...

    The answer was already obvious.

As long as the proper method was used...

The consciousness of any living creature could indeed be recorded inside the Marble Space.

    He...

    Su Hao...

    Was never special.

He had merely been the first.

He truly was nothing more than an ordinary person.

That realization filled him with both fear and relief.

The fear came from understanding that he was not truly immortal.

    He could still die completely.

The relief came from something equally important.

There was no hidden higher existence that had deliberately created the Marble Space for him.

His encounter with it had genuinely been an accident.

    The logic was simple.

If Su Hao truly possessed some unique destiny, then unimaginable secrets—and perhaps unimaginable manipulation—would inevitably lie behind it.

That possibility was far more terrifying.

    But if he was ordinary...

Then everything that had happened was simply coincidence.

    Perhaps...

The first coincidence of its kind in the history of the universe.

The odds of his consciousness accidentally colliding with the Marble Space were unimaginably small—so small that they were practically impossible.

That accidental encounter was fundamentally different from his current experiment, where he deliberately recorded the consciousness of a little round mouse.

    Even so...

If such an impossible coincidence had happened once...

Who could guarantee it would never happen again?

That thought made Su Hao more vigilant than ever before.

    "Perhaps..."

"Someday in the distant future, while I'm completely unaware..."

"Another consciousness may enter the Marble Space."

"I have to prepare for that possibility."

For the first time, Su Hao truly understood what a sense of crisis felt like.

He silently made a promise to himself.

    "I must become stronger."

    "As quickly as possible."

"I must become like the divine beings of myth—unshakable and impossible to destroy."

"Only then can I truly protect everything I've accumulated."

He had spent countless lifetimes gathering knowledge from one world after another.

    The last thing he wanted...

Was for all of it to become someone else's inheritance.

Even imagining such an outcome left him feeling strangely bitter.

Taking a slow breath, Su Hao spoke again.

    "Little Light."

"Grant Subject G-3 Level Three permission."

    "Level Three permission granted."

    Moments later...

The interior of the black room began to change.

The scene that unfolded before Su Hao's eyes instantly left him completely dumbfounded.
