Chapter 297: Why Has It Come to This?

After pondering for a moment, Su Nan finally agreed to Lize's proposal.

If another human Plane could be created, it would greatly benefit the development of the Star Alliance.

"The plan can be implemented, but don't rush it. This isn't something that will yield results in just a few decades or centuries."

The time span for Plane Migration is extremely lengthy, often measured in millennia.

Transforming a Plane will take time.

Transferring populations will also take time.

Once the transfer is successful, the population will require dozens of generations to truly take root in the new Plane and expand sufficiently to cover most of it.

Only then will a new human Plane be genuinely formed!

Having settled the details of the Plane Migration plan, Su Nan shifted the topic to the Law Fruit.

Lize flipped her wrist, and a crystal-clear, diamond-shaped gem appeared out of thin air in her palm, radiating an alluring and beautiful luster under the glow of the Magic Stone Lamp.

Su Nan's gaze fell upon the crystal, and he could clearly sense the fluctuations of Law Power emanating from within.

It was very similar to the Law Crystal.

"Not long after you went to the Shimmering Spirit Plane, the Wisdom Codex sent a Messenger to deliver the Law Fruit. They also made a request, stating that they need to conquer at least one Black Suo Tower Plane within a century."

In truth, even before the battle had progressed smoothly, Su Nan had suspected that the Wisdom Codex would agree to his conditions.

However, seeing the Law Fruit with his own eyes still filled him with joy.

Now, the advancement of his Gravity Law comprehension could be significantly accelerated!

After accepting the Law Fruit, Su Nan examined it briefly before storing it in his Space Ring.

"You've worked hard during this time," he smiled at Lize.

"But for now, I need you to continue overseeing the war while I return to the Shimmering Spirit Plane to focus on my cultivation."

Lize replied solemnly, "You just concentrate on your cultivation. I'll handle everything here."

She understood well the importance of Su Nan to the Star Alliance.

At present, the overall strength of the Star Alliance had already reached the level of the Second Rate Wizard Force echelon; the only thing missing was a True Spirit Wizard.

As long as Su Nan successfully breaks through, the Star Alliance will be able to join the ranks of the Second Rate Wizard Force, gaining a higher status and broader development prospects.

Compared to Su Nan's advancement, everything else took a backseat.

His arrival was silent, and his departure was equally quiet, so much so that apart from Lize, no one knew he had returned.

Back at the temporary camp of the Shimmering Spirit Plane, Su Nan immediately took out the Law Fruit and began to absorb it.

The process was no different from absorbing Law Crystal.

After about half a year of absorbing the Law Fruit, Su Nan's comprehension of Gravity Law increased to 26.04%.

“It's about what I expected,” he said, a satisfied smile on his face.

At this rate, he should be able to master Gravity Law in roughly two thousand seven or eight hundred years.

“Thunder Law is comparatively easier; it should only take a little over two thousand years to master.”

Su Nan's eyes flickered slightly.

There was no upper limit to the synthesis of Law Power. If he could find a way to increase the capacity of his Soul to withstand Law Power, he could synthesize higher-intensity Law Power for comprehension, allowing for even faster progress.

However, at his level, ordinary biological modifications could no longer strengthen his Soul. Even elementalization and fusion with Bloodlines wouldn't work.

After pondering for a moment, Su Nan shook his head and decided to set the matter aside for now, planning to find a solution later.

Gathering his thoughts, he continued to immerse himself in cultivation.

During this time, Su Nan remained mostly at the Shimmering Spirit Plane. Aside from occasionally returning to Ulan City to synthesize some resources, he devoted most of his time to comprehending Gravity Law.

Meanwhile, the Star Alliance also began the transformation of the West Ge Plane.

Time flew by quickly.

In the year 2730 of the Starlight Calendar, the Star Alliance conquered the Purple Moon Plane.

With this vast Magic Plant Garden at the Plane level, the Star Alliance's Magic Plant materials became abundantly available. Lize made a grand gesture by starting to build more Knight Academies in Starlight Continent, Ulan Plane, and Taino Plane in preparation for the expansion of the Magic Knight Order.

In the same year, the transformation of West Ge Plane was completed, and the Star Alliance began transferring the population from Starlight Continent to West Ge Plane.

With the active cooperation of the Prosperous Star Empire, the entire population transfer process encountered only minor hiccups, ultimately passing smoothly.

This massive transfer lasted more than a decade, concluding in the year 2745 of the Starlight Calendar.

Following this, the West Ge Plane entered a lengthy developmental period.

During this time, the Star Alliance's attacks on the Baikal Plane and the Barton Plane did not cease.

After taking the Purple Moon Plane, the Star Alliance dispatched its main forces to both planes, intensifying their assault.

Faced with the overwhelming strength of the Star Alliance's army, both the Baikal and Barton Planes were helpless to retaliate, suffering successive defeats on the battlefield.

In the year 2753 of the Starlight Calendar, the Star Alliance captured the Baikal Plane.

By 2762 of the Starlight Calendar, the Star Alliance had also taken the Barton Plane.

At this point, all seven of the Black Suo Tower's planes had fallen into the hands of the Star Alliance.

The number of planes controlled by the Star Alliance had risen to nine, significantly boosting their strength.

Meanwhile, the Thousand Headed Bird frequently achieved resounding victories, advancing triumphantly along the battlefront alongside the Black Suo Tower.

By the year 2775 of the Starlight Calendar, the Thousand Headed Bird had captured the Aser Plane.

This marked the eighth plane belonging to the Black Suo Tower that the Thousand Headed Bird had taken.

At this stage, the number of planes still under the control of the Black Suo Tower had drastically decreased from twenty-two to just seven.

Under the combined fierce assault of the Star Alliance and the Thousand Headed Bird, the once-prosperous and glorious Black Suo Tower now resembled a ship in a storm, on the verge of collapse.

In the Dark Dragon Plane, the headquarters of the Black Suo Tower, the magnificent complex—resembling a black dragon coiled on the ground—had lost its former majesty and composure.

An aura of impending doom filled the air, creating a sense of depression among those present.

Inside the pitch-black central giant tower, the stagnant and heavy atmosphere in the spacious Council Hall was especially palpable.

The dozens of wizards gathered in the hall wore gloomy expressions, their brows tightly furrowed.

"The Thousand-Headed Bird is already mobilizing its main forces, preparing to concentrate its power to attack the Moho Plane and the Underworld Tree Plane. Their momentum is strong; I'm afraid we'll find it hard to resist."

"No matter what, we can't let the Thousand-Headed Bird continue capturing territory. If we lose a few more planes, Black Suo Tower is finished."

"That's easy to say, but how are we supposed to stop the Thousand-Headed Bird?"

Sigh. "It was fine at the start; how did it come to this?"

As Lucius listened to everyone's conversation, a trace of confusion flickered in his eyes. Yes, how did it come to this? Was it because the Thousand-Headed Bird was too strong? No, that wasn't right. In terms of strength, Black Suo Tower was far superior to the Thousand-Headed Bird!

The situation had deteriorated entirely because of the Star Alliance! As this realization hit him, a deep sense of regret welled up within Lucius. Who would have thought that a small, third-rate Wizard Faction could cause so much trouble for the Black Suo Tower?

In the war that had persisted for over five hundred years, a typical Wizard Faction usually grew weaker as time dragged on. Even the Thousand-Headed Bird, which had captured eight planes from Black Suo Tower during the conflict, hadn’t gained much power. Instead, the war had depleted most of their foundations and accumulated resources. After all, it takes time to digest the spoils of war.

But the Star Alliance was an exception. After years of conflict, not only had it not weakened, but it had also grown progressively stronger. Despite lacking any True Spirit Wizards, the Star Alliance's current strength was already faintly catching up to the Thousand-Headed Bird.

If they had known that the Star Alliance would be so troublesome, they should have concentrated their forces to deal with them first. Even if it meant sacrificing one or two planes, they should have eliminated the Star Alliance at the outset. That way, the situation wouldn't have reached such a dire state!

But it was too late for regrets. Even if they concentrated their forces now and turned back to face the Star Alliance, they might still be unable to defeat them. The Star Alliance was no longer the small Wizard Faction they could so easily crush before.

After arguing for a long time without reaching a resolution, the hall gradually quieted down, and everyone unanimously turned their gaze toward Lucius, who sat at the head of the table.

Seeing this, Lucius took a deep breath and said in a low voice, “Send people to negotiate peace with the Thousand Headed Bird and the Star Alliance.”

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone was taken aback. However, once they processed the information, their expressions shifted to something far more complex.

At this point, unless the Black Suo Tower intended to pursue a dark path toward annihilation in a desperate fight against the Thousand Headed Bird and the Star Alliance, only the path of negotiation remained.

The Black Suo Tower was the strongest faction among the Second Rate Wizard Forces and had the potential to become a subordinate of the Large Wizard Faction. They had long been bullies, but now, having to turn around and beg for mercy was a source of great humiliation.

For a time, the mood was complicated, a mixture of conflicting emotions.

Yet, when faced with death, pride ultimately had to take a back seat, and soon someone spoke up in agreement.

“I agree to negotiate, but Sir Lucius, I’m afraid the Thousand Headed Bird and the Star Alliance will demand an exorbitant price.”

Lucius replied expressionlessly, “Now that they have finally gained control over us, it would be odd if they didn’t take the opportunity to extort a high price. With things as they are, as long as they accept negotiations, even if they demand we cede two more planes, we will have no choice but to comply.”

“As long as the green hills remain, there is no fear of running out of firewood.”

As long as they could preserve their strength and endure, there would still be a chance to rise again.

Sooner or later, he would definitely make the Thousand Headed Bird and the Star Alliance pay the price.

“What if the Star Alliance and the Thousand Headed Bird refuse to negotiate?” someone asked hesitantly.

A fierce glint flashed across Lucius's face as he replied coldly, “The Black Suo Tower is not easy to bully either. If they refuse to negotiate, we will fight them to the death!”

Above Ulan City, a Planar Rift suddenly appeared, and Su Nan stepped through it.

Today was the annual Return Day.

As per tradition, he had to go to the Laboratory to synthesize a new batch of resources to be used by the Star Alliance for the coming year.

With the growth and expansion of the Star Alliance, he no longer needed to worry about many medium and low-level resources; however, a few high-level resources, such as Construct Potions and enhanced Wizard Tower facilities, were still closely tied to his Cube Synthesis.

But this time, as soon as Su Nan arrived at the Laboratory, he was stopped by Lize.

“Black Tower Faction messengers are coming over for negotiations,” he said.

Su Nan's brow twitched, a flicker of surprise crossing his face, but it quickly returned to his usual expression.

The battle had reached a point where Black Suo Tower was clearly at a disadvantage, so it wasn't strange for them to seek negotiations.

“Thousand Headed Bird, what did they say?” Su Nan asked, knowing that Thousand Headed Bird had most likely received Black Suo Tower's request for talks as well.

“Gavin stopped by recently, wanting to meet with you. However, since you weren’t here, he asked me to let you know the moment you returned.”

“Then arrange for me to meet him.”

Upon hearing of Su Nan's return, Gavin rushed over in a flurry, his eyes scanning Su Nan with a peculiar expression.

“I heard you've comprehended the Law?”

Su Nan did not try to hide it, admitting frankly, “That's right.”

At this, a complex look washed over Gavin's face.

As a True Spirit Descendant, he was only at the Level 3 Crystallization stage and had not successfully comprehended the Law. Yet Su Nan, before the Wizard Civil War broke out, had been merely at the Level 3 Liquefaction level. Who could have imagined he would break through to Level 3 Crystallization so rapidly and even successfully comprehend the Law?

The speed of his power increase was truly monstrous!

Gavin had always considered his own talent exceptional, but compared to Su Nan, he suddenly felt as if his previous efforts had been in vain.

He wondered what kind of Law Su Nan had comprehended.

To succeed so quickly, it was likely Elemental Law, wasn't it? But then he thought about Su Nan’s talent; surely he would choose at least Rule Law. If it was Rule Law, achieving success so quickly would be even more astonishing!

After a moment of hesitation, Gavin ultimately decided not to ask.

After all, the type of Law one comprehended was a Wizard's secret, and asking so directly could easily be perceived as offensive.

Calming his thoughts, Gavin turned to the main issue.

“The Star Alliance must have also received Black Suo Tower's request for negotiations. What do you plan to do?”

Su Nan didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he smiled and asked, “Thousand Headed Bird isn’t planning to agree to negotiations, are they?”

Gavin paused slightly before chuckling, “You’re not easily fooled, are you?”

His expression turned serious. “After all our efforts, we've finally managed to weaken Black Suo Tower to this extent. This is a rare opportunity. If we don’t seize this chance to eradicate them, they’ll definitely seek revenge once they recover. We can’t allow them to regenerate; it would lead to endless trouble!”

Su Nan pondered briefly, not immediately revealing his thoughts, but deep down, he actually agreed with Gavin.

The Black Wizards were a vengeful bunch.

After suffering such a significant loss this time, it would be strange if Black Suo Tower didn’t want to retaliate.

Of course, more importantly, there was the matter of profit.

Normally, it wouldn’t be easy for the Star Alliance to conquer several new planes.

Only in large-scale conflicts like the Wizard Civil War could they form alliances to attack distant enemies while befriending nearby ones, allowing them to take over multiple planes.

Now, a rare opportunity lay before the Star Alliance.

If they eliminated Black Suo Tower, they could control several more planes, significantly benefiting their future development.

No matter how you looked at it, the Star Alliance shouldn’t miss such a great opportunity.

Thousand Headed Bird clearly shared similar sentiments.

Seeing Su Nan lost in thought, Gavin finally couldn’t hold back and said, “We can join forces to attack Black Suo Tower like before. Thousand Headed Bird will handle the assault on four planes, including Dark Dragon Plane, while the Star Alliance just needs to take care of three planes.”

Su Nan's eyes sparkled with determination. Without hesitation, he declared, “The three planes that the Star Alliance is responsible for must include Enderland Plane.”

Enderland was the third human plane of Black Suo Tower, alongside Dark Dragon Plane and Taino Plane.
