Chapter 223: These Are the Master's Orders

"This thing called the Star Core, is it the energy source of Falling Star City?"

After the contract was established, Su Nan turned his gaze to the crystal-clear sphere.

"That's right," Lize nodded. "This is a unique energy supply device that the Starfall Society researched and created themselves."

Su Nan asked curiously, "How is it different from the Elemental Pool?"

"It encompasses all the functions of the Elemental Pool. Additionally, the Star Core can monitor the entire energy particle fluctuations of Falling Star City and can communicate one-way with anyone inside the city."

Su Nan's eyes lit up. Setting aside the energy supply function, the latter two capabilities piqued his interest.

"Is its effective range limited to Falling Star City?"

"Unless we can create a larger Star Core, the current effective range is confined to Falling Star City."

She paused, then added, "However, if we only need the communication function, we can expand the effective range by increasing energy consumption, though it won’t last for long."

Su Nan understood. "You used the Star Core to contact Aida?"

"That's right," Lize admitted frankly.

Without a doubt, the Star Core was a remarkable device.

Without hesitation, Su Nan took the Star Core and placed it into the Magic Cube.

Once the energy supply was disrupted, the energy fluctuations hidden within the surrounding walls, ceiling, and floor quickly vanished, and the entire tower soon fell into silence.

"Are there any other resources in Falling Star City?"

Lize shook her head. "No, Falling Star City has only just been completed, and due to an internal conflict within the Starfall Society, there was no time to gather resources. Besides the Star Core and Tentacle Puppet, the most valuable asset is Falling Star City itself."

Su Nan felt a twinge of disappointment.

But on second thought, just having the Star Core, the Tentacle Puppet, and a considerable amount of White Jade Stone was already a significant gain.

Moreover, having Lize, a Wizard Ghost with a vast wealth of knowledge, added to his advantages.

This trip could certainly be called fruitful.

Since there were no other valuable items, Su Nan did not intend to stay any longer. He picked up the Codex and turned to leave.

Returning to the entrance they had come from, Lize turned back to look at the quiet Falling Star City, her gaze somewhat complicated.

"What do you plan to do with Falling Star City?"

Su Nan said without hesitation, "Take it back and dismantle it into materials."

“Take it back?”

Lize was stunned, wondering if she had misheard.

"You want to use the teleportation function of Falling Star City? But you’ve already removed the Star Core. Even if you put it back, the Star Core won't have enough energy to activate the teleportation function."

“No need for such trouble.”

Su Nan reached out and pressed his hand against the wall of White Jade Stone. With a thought, the enormous Falling Star City, along with the inverted cone-shaped black mountain beneath it, vanished instantly.

This sight left Lize dumbfounded, her eyes wide with shock.

"How did you do that?" Lize asked in astonishment.

Even as a well-informed Wizard, she had never witnessed such a bizarre occurrence.

A Space Ring?

It was impossible; there was no Space Ring in this world with an internal space large enough to accommodate Falling Star City!

A demi-dimensional plane?

That was even more unlikely. Only a True Spirit Wizard could create a demi-dimensional plane!

But if it was neither of those, how had Su Nan managed to store Falling Star City out of sight so quickly?

"A secret."

Su Nan had no intention of explaining further and turned to leave.

No matter how immense Falling Star City was, it only occupied one slot in the Magic Cube.

The Magic Cube didn’t consider the space size of magical items; it solely accounted for quantity.

As soon as he stepped out of the Dimensional Space where Falling Star City had been located, the surrounding seawater rushed in, only to be held back by the Energy Shield that Su Nan had deployed.

Lize regained her composure at this point. Noticing that Su Nan wasn’t inclined to elaborate, she refrained from asking more questions and returned to the Codex.

Every Wizard had their own secrets, and prying too deeply was never wise.

After emerging from the sea, Su Nan casually gave Andrea an instruction and headed straight back to Long Lin.

Now that Falling Star City was in his possession, he no longer needed to worry about Rainbow Sea's next move.

Siren had already submitted to the Star Alliance. Now, Rainbow Sea was left with only the Deep Sea Naga, and on their own, the Deep Sea Naga stood no chance against the Star Alliance.

In the development of Rainbow Sea, the Star Alliance faced almost no resistance.

The rest could be left to those below.

Plan: Next, it's time to focus on cultivation and building the Wizard Tower.

Returning to Long Lin, Su Nan took out the Codex and summoned Lize once again.

"This is... the Ecological Garden!"

As Lize gazed at the vast, dense forests in the distance, a hint of surprise flickered in her eyes.

Her attention then shifted to the towering white structure formed by Dragon Bone coils nearby, and she exclaimed, "The Dragon Bone Tower!"

"This is Long Lin!" Su Nan raised an eyebrow and asked, "Do you recognize this place?"

Lize nodded, saying, "I happen to know the owner of Long Lin, a powerful Second Level Wizard. Before I was transformed, I heard he was involved in an expedition to a certain Plane, but I never expected..."

At this point, Lize couldn't help but sigh.

Since Long Lin was now under Su Nan's control, it meant that its original owner had already perished. Only in this way could the unclaimed Ecological Garden activate the Inheritance Program.

Reflecting on the thousand years that had passed, Lize felt a wave of change and loss, realizing that the Wizards she once knew were now gone.

However, she quickly pushed aside her melancholic thoughts.

When she saw the imposing tower rising in the heart of the expansive forest, Lize was completely stunned. The cold expression on her face vanished, replaced by profound shock and disbelief.

"A Wizard Tower!"

The structure before her was undoubtedly a Wizard Tower.

Although Lize had not yet built her own, she had observed countless Wizard Towers and recognized one at first glance.

Even though it was merely a Small Wizard Tower, it still left her in awe.

In the prosperous days of Wizards, it was unusual but not unheard of for a Level One Wizard to construct a Wizard Tower.

Yet, this was the Starlight Continent, which was currently in decline!

Given the severe scarcity of resources, it was hard to fathom how Su Nan could have built a Wizard Tower in such circumstances.

After a moment, Lize regained her composure and turned to Su Nan, her expression conveying that she regarded him as a truly extraordinary being.

"I'm curious, are you able to conjure all kinds of resources out of thin air?"

Su Nan chuckled and said, "This Wizard Tower isn't actually fully completed yet."

"Even so, looking at you, it seems completion is only a matter of time, right?"

Seeing that Su Nan didn’t deny it, Lize couldn’t help but ask, “Just how did you manage to do it?”

“It’s simple: gather the power of the entire Starlight Continent, and you can collect enough resources.”

Lize took a moment to comprehend Su Nan's words and exclaimed, “You’ve unified the Starlight Continent?”

Su Nan glanced at her and retorted, “Is it really so hard for a wizard to unify the Starlight Continent?”

Lize fell silent, her lips twitching slightly. A formal wizard was certainly in a league of its own in the current Starlight Continent; unifying it wouldn’t be difficult. Pure power could suppress the entire continent, instilling fear in anyone who dared to resist.

However, integrating the power of the entire continent to gather resources and build a Wizard Tower was not something mere force could accomplish. The basic materials and demonic processing required to construct a Wizard Tower demanded a large number of wizard apprentices. Otherwise, it would take a hundred years to achieve it alone.

Su Nan must have a vast, well-organized, and smoothly operating force at his command, collecting resources for him. Most likely, he also had a significant number of wizard apprentices assisting with the massive and intricate foundational work. Not every wizard could achieve this.

Lize honestly realized that even if she reshaped her body and regained the power of a wizard, she wouldn’t be able to do what Su Nan had done—not even in a thousand years. The first challenge, mass-breeding wizard apprentices, was an arduous hurdle to overcome. She simply didn’t possess the resources to pursue this.

For a moment, Lize felt that the mysterious aspects of Su Nan were deepening, rendering him completely unfathomable. Upon entering the Wizard Tower, Su Nan brought Lize to the control center, summoned Tower Spirit 1, and granted her permissions second only to his own, allowing her to freely enter and exit most areas of the Wizard Tower.

With the restrictions of the vow contract in place, Su Nan wasn’t concerned that Lize would do anything detrimental to him. To enable her to better fulfill her duties as an assistant, he placed his full trust in her.

After that, Su Nan arrived at Dragon Bone Tower, summoned Butler Number 1, and granted Lize second-level access.

With this access, she could move freely almost anywhere within Long Lin.

"I'm going to focus on my cultivation and the construction of the Wizard Tower next, so I need you to handle the affairs of the Star Alliance and Long Lin. You should familiarize yourself with these matters as quickly as possible. If there's anything you don't understand, feel free to ask Carolina and Red Widow for assistance."

Su Nan provided a brief overview of the structure of the Star Alliance. For further details, she would need to delve into the information herself.

As soon as she returned to Long Lin, Su Nan sent a message to Carolina and Red Widow.

Not long after they settled in the study, the two women arrived with impressive speed.

"Master."

Carolina and Red Widow bowed respectfully, their eyes discreetly assessing Lize standing to the side, a hint of surprise in their gaze.

A Ghost?

When did Master start keeping a Ghost?

She’s quite pretty, though.

At the same time, Lize calmly observed Carolina and Red Widow, feeling equally surprised.

A Sphinx, a Noble, and a Vampire? What an unusual combination!

From Su Nan’s earlier remarks, it was clear that these two from the Alien Race were undoubtedly the core higher-ups of the Star Alliance.

To elevate two members of the Alien Race to such high positions... Could they be Su Nan's concubines?

Unaware of the inner thoughts of the three women, Su Nan pointed to Lize and said, "This is Lize Russell, the ancestor of the Russell Family, and the only Wizard. Due to some unexpected circumstances, she's currently in Ghost form."

Surprise flickered in the eyes of both Carolina and Red Widow.

They certainly knew about the Russell Family.

After all, many students from the Russell Family were currently enrolled at Starlight Academy, along with three mentors.

They realized they needed to carefully investigate the addition of such an ancient Wizard Family to the Star Alliance. Naturally, they were also aware that the Russell Family once had a Wizard in their history.

However, they never expected that this Wizard would be the Ghost woman standing before them!

How did she end up here?

Instantly, Carolina and Red Widow became curious about the change in events that Su Nan had mentioned. However, Su Nan did not elaborate, and they did not dare to ask any further questions.

The next words that came from Su Nan's mouth shocked the two women.

“From now on, Lize will be my assistant, helping me manage all affairs of the Star Alliance. When I am not around, she will be responsible for reviewing matters in my place.”

A massive wave of turmoil crashed in the hearts of Carolina and Red Widow. This was no ordinary assistant position! If that were the case, wouldn’t this woman named Lize become second only to Su Nan himself and above all others in the Star Alliance?

The two women felt a mix of shock and jealousy. They had been in the Star Alliance for so long yet had not obtained such immense power. Why could this woman surpass them the moment she arrived? Did their master trust her that much?

“Is there a problem?” Su Nan asked, looking at them calmly.

Carolina and Red Widow snapped out of their daze, hurriedly composed themselves, and lowered their heads respectfully.

“Yes, Master,” they replied.

Su Nan narrowed his eyes but said nothing. He could easily discern what Carolina and Red Widow were thinking. The reason he had granted Lize such great power was that he believed, as a Wizard, she would handle the affairs of the Star Alliance far better than the two women could.

In the end, the Star Alliance was still fundamentally a Wizard Organization. Although it was only in its initial stages, having a Wizard responsible for control and management would undoubtedly provide greater stability. Moreover, Lize had once been a member of the Starfall Society, giving her more experience within Wizard Organizations than others.

Su Nan only needed to serve as the helmsman, steering the overall direction while the specific affairs could be entrusted to Lize.

He then summoned Puppet 1 and handed the Codex to the Secret Puppet Girl.

“Puppet 1 will now obey your orders.”

Lize could not afford to leave the Codex too far behind, and if she wished to move freely, someone had to be responsible for carrying the Codex. This task was best suited for Puppet 1.

Lize sized up the Secret Puppet Girl with curiosity. As a Wizard, her keen eyes immediately noticed the peculiarities surrounding the Secret Puppet Girl.

“With Mithril and Diamond as the primary components of the Puppet, even if it isn't a Wizard Level Puppet, it shouldn't be far from it.”

Lize pondered this secretly.

After organizing everything, Su Nan waved his hand, signaling for the three to withdraw.

As they left the study, before Carolina and Red Widow could speak, Lize ordered without turning around, “Prepare a quiet room and ensure all the information regarding the Star Alliance is delivered there. I need to examine it carefully.”

“Yes, Lord Lize.”

Watching Lize depart with the Secret Puppet Girl, Red Widow finally raised his head, subtly curling his lip as he glanced at Carolina. “Are you just going to watch her rise above us?”

Carolina remained unfazed. “What else can we do? She is a Wizard.”

“That was before. Now she’s just a Ghost.”

“She’s still the Ghost of a Wizard.” Carolina lowered his gaze. “More importantly, these are the Master’s orders.”

Red Widow was momentarily speechless, biting his lip in resentment and ultimately saying nothing more.
