Author's Note
First, let me explain about yesterday's missed update and the lack of a prior absence notification...
Because, the humble author was running a fever of over 39 degrees Celsius all day yesterday, and didn't even have the strength to turn on the computer.
I originally thought it was just a minor cold, something a bit of medicine and a day's rest would fix. However, after going to our district hospital for a check-up, the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong (at the time, they screened for a whole host of things like influenza, hemorrhagic fever, myocarditis, and adenitis).
Then I was transferred to a major hospital and underwent all sorts of tests again. Major hospitals are notoriously slow, and it wasn't until this afternoon that pneumonia was finally diagnosed. I suspect I might have shed too many layers too quickly after spring arrived.
The reason it wasn't diagnosed earlier was that my white blood cell count was perfectly normal, with only elevated CRP levels, so the doctors didn't prescribe antibiotics.
Today, I received a dose of cephalosporin, and I feel a bit better. I expect to resume updates tomorrow.
I ask for the kind understanding of all my esteemed readers.
I wish everyone a Happy New Year once again, eternal health, and that all your wishes come true!
P.S. The New Year holiday is almost over, but the humble author's relatives have barely started leaving...
