Chapter 1055: A United Front Against the Demon

Chapter 1055: A United Front Against the Demon

Even though he had been outmaneuvered by Mo Rubin before and had witnessed the formidable power of this Xuantian Sect Law King, Li Fan had never imagined he could achieve so much in just a few short years.

"If my guess is correct, his cultivation technique must allow him to possess more than one cultivator's body at the same time."

"That Transmitter Chen... he might also be one of Mo Rubin's puppets."

A tremor of shock went through Li Fan's heart.

At the same time, a new doubt surfaced in his mind. "If he is the victor..."

"The complete disappearance of Shuo Feng and the Xuan family could be explained as a move to obscure the truth and confuse my judgment. But what about the Heavenly Profound Mirror? So many of its functions were shut down. That should be a sign that its main body has left, shouldn't it?"

Puzzled, Li Fan quickly asked Transmitter Zhou about the Heavenly Profound Mirror's abnormal behavior.

Her answer brought him a sudden wave of understanding.

"There's nothing inherently wrong with the Heavenly Profound Mirror itself," she explained. "It's just that they seem to be borrowing its power for some secret plan."

"They've diverted most of its computing power, which is why functions like real-time trading were forced to shut down."

A flicker of anger crossed Transmitter Zhou's face. "I was wondering what could possibly be so important that they would defy the Heavenly Venerate's teachings about maintaining stability. Now I see it's the work of that Xuantian Sect demon!"

"The Heavenly Profound Mirror was originally the ultimate treasure of the Xuantian Sect. Although our Immortal Alliance has controlled it for so many years, we've never been able to fully subdue it. If it falls back into the hands of the Xuantian Sect..." Transmitter Zhou's expression grew darker the more she considered the possibility.

"This won't do. I must go back at once!"

Transmitter Zhou shot to her feet, ready to leave, but was stopped by Transmitter Wei's cold voice.

"A remnant of the Xuantian Sect? Words alone are not proof. They are the ones in power now. With the five victors at the core, they have all the other Transmitters under their control."

"Now, *we* are the 'rebels'."

"How do you think so many cultivators ended up in your world? It's because all opposing forces were purged from top to bottom."

"Their grip on power now is probably even stronger than before," Transmitter Wei analyzed calmly.

Hearing this, Transmitter Zhou slowly regained some of her composure.

"I was too hasty."

"I never considered that it wasn't a case of Transmitters betraying the cause. It was someone exploiting a moment of weakness..."

After a moment, Transmitter Zhou said resentfully, "What is Jiang thinking? How could he stand by and watch this happen? Seeing the situation spiral out of control, he should have reported to the Heavenly Venerate long ago!"

Transmitter Wei sneered. "Spiraling out of control? That's only how it looks to those of us who know the inside story."

"To the vast majority, the Immortal Alliance is still doing just fine. As for Jiang..."

"He's stubborn as a mule. Unless it's an unsolvable crisis that threatens to overturn the entire Xuanhuang Realm, he would never message the Heavenly Venerate!"

The white-haired Transmitter's tone was laced with dissatisfaction.

Li Fan's expression also turned grave as he spoke. "The methods of this Xuantian Sect demon are beyond what I anticipated."

"I originally thought he was just taking advantage of the chaos to seize some benefits at the Immortal Alliance headquarters. Now, it seems his ambitions are far greater! To have evaded our pursuit for ten thousand years... he truly is a capable adversary."

"Faced with such a troublesome enemy, I believe we can cooperate."

The two Transmitters turned to look at Li Fan simultaneously.

"Our organization is called the Federation of All Worlds. It is a gathering of surviving cultivators from all the cultivation worlds in this Darkest Star Sea who serve our Master."

"We have no issue with your Immortal Alliance and the Five Elders Council occupying the main world. The vast populations within the Xuanhuang Realm's many small worlds are more than enough for us to report back to our Master. However, a traitor is something that must be eliminated." Li Fan's tone was resolute.

"And surely, you two don't wish to see the foundation built by the Dharma Spreading Heavenly Venerate fall into the hands of a demon, do you?"

The two Transmitters exchanged a glance, then nodded slightly.

"To right this wrong, our current strength is indeed a bit weak. I'm just not sure... what is the true power of your Federation of All Worlds?" Transmitter Wei asked tentatively.

A proud look appeared on Li Fan's face. "Our organization is composed entirely of elite survivors from various cultivation worlds. We have two experts at the Longevity realm, or close to it. As for Dao Integration cultivators, we have several. Someone like myself is merely an ordinary member within the organization."

The two Transmitters were shaken, but at the same time, a hint of disbelief flickered in their eyes.

"Of course, the organization cannot mobilize its full strength just to punish a traitor. My department will be responsible for this matter. But rest assured, I can guarantee we can call upon at least one Longevity realm expert. That will be absolutely no problem," Li Fan declared with confidence.

"How many Transmitters can you contact on your end?" Li Fan asked, changing the subject before they could respond.

After a moment of thought, Transmitter Zhou replied, "Over the years, a total of four Transmitters have left the council for various reasons. Besides the two of us, the other two have vanished without a trace. Finding them will likely take some effort."

Li Fan's brow furrowed at her words.

"Furthermore, after several rounds of purges, our remaining forces within the Immortal Alliance have been reduced to almost nothing. They are now in deep cover..." Transmitter Zhou delivered another piece of bad news.

"Our Transmitter council is in this state, and the Mirror Holder lineage is in even worse shape. Led by Mirror Holder Cang, almost all of them have sided with the Xuantian Sect remnant..."

After speaking, Transmitter Zhou fell silent.

The white-haired Wei, however, offered his opinion. "But we're not completely without a chance to win."

"As I see it, there are two ways to turn the tables. First, we could try to make contact with the Illusionary Truth Sage faction. As one of the failsafes left behind by the Heavenly Venerate, they might be able to deliver a decisive blow."

"However, the Illusionary Truth Sages are all hidden within the Museum of Divine Treasures. The passages in and out of the Immortal Alliance headquarters are undoubtedly under strict lockdown now, so getting to them will be quite difficult."

Transmitter Zhou nodded. "Ever since two years ago, none of my people have been able to freely enter or leave the Immortal Alliance headquarters. They have to undergo strict inspections and be escorted by designated personnel."

"Then there is the second method: find Jiang directly," Transmitter Wei said slowly.

"Although he spends all his time in his own Return to Ruins small world and rarely pays attention to anything unless it concerns the safety of the Immortal Alliance, there is one thing..."

A faint smile touched the white-haired old man's eyes. "If some world-ending crisis were to appear in the Xuanhuang Realm, he would most certainly intervene to resolve it."

"Ensuring the safety and stability of the Xuanhuang Realm is the mission the Heavenly Venerate entrusted to him before his departure."
