Chapter 94-1: New Option Assassin Build (1)

Primordial Altar.

After checking the progress of the teleportation array, Qi Sheng shifted his consciousness to the forum.

At that moment, a surge of powerful energy suddenly flowed into his body, as a missing piece of his power puzzle fused within him.

Guide’s feedback simultaneously appeared in his mind.

[Blade Seal (Second-Generation Primordial)]

Primordial Trait Description: Applies a Blade Seal mark to attacked targets (stackable). The Blade Seal marks can be detonated at any time to deal stacked damage and inflict an Elemental Disruption state, weakening the target’s elemental perception (duration affected by the inherited soul level and the target’s mental strength; higher inherited soul level results in longer duration, higher target mental strength results in shorter duration).

Sacrificial Power Yield: 50/hour.

Seeing that another Primordial had been captured, Qi Sheng immediately switched perspectives.

The Primordial was contained near Spirit Weapon Valley. There were still 73 players involved in the containment, all members of the Divine Wings Guild.

They were cheering and celebrating.

After a brief observation, Qi Sheng withdrew his gaze.

Three hours later, a Star Vein build guide post sparked excitement among many players.

[Brothers, I’m in tears! The springtime for us Assassin Build players has finally arrived! Praise be to Emperor’s Sign!]

I’ve been playing games for 13 years. In the early days, I always chose mage builds, but as I got older, I gradually fell in love with Assassin Builds.

Because Assassin Builds have a grace and agility that no other playstyle offers.

This build shares a common trait across all games: extreme damage with low margin for error.

Unlike warriors who need to focus on defense, HP, and other survival stats, Assassins have only one priority: maximum burst output, striking lethally and retreating quickly after a kill.

Every assassination is like a dance on the edge of a blade, elegant yet deadly. It’s either the enemy dies, or I do.

Mastering an Assassin Build is harder than any other playstyle. Like a true hunter, you need precise control over strike timing, damage maximization, escape routes, and more.

That’s exactly why I love the Assassin Build, the self-challenge feels amazing.

I’ve been playing this game for half a month, but always felt disappointed that there was no Star Vein combination suited for Assassins.

Finally, the surprise I’ve been waiting for arrived today: the Blade Seal inherited soul. I believe this is a must-have for any Assassin Build player.

Here’s my tested optimal Assassin Build Star Vein combo, using only inherited souls that have already been contained:

Star Vein Slot 1:

Black-Scaled Serpent (Venomous): All physical damage applies a poison effect, dealing continuous damage to the target.

Star Vein Slot 2:

Duskhaze (Shadowform): Switches between solid and mist form; mist form increases movement speed and grants immunity to most physical damage, but makes you more vulnerable to elemental damage.

Star Vein Slot 3:

Blade Seal: …

Star Vein Slot 4:

Shatter: All physical attacks apply penetration and shatter effects.

Currently, quite a few people have unlocked four Star Vein slots, but only a small number have reached Body Tempering level 4.

So for this guide, I’m only considering a four-inherited soul combo. Once I level up further, I’ll optimize and update future combinations.

Now let me explain the features of this inherited soul combo in detail.

First up is the Black-Scaled Serpent inherited soul, which many players already use. Its damage is physical, combined with a Venomous effect that applies continuous poison damage.

You’re all probably familiar with this skill, but what I want to emphasize is how the Venomous effect synergizes with Blade Seal’s stacked damage to create a ‘1 + 1 is greater than 10’ effect.

For example, if I slash an opponent once, while the Venomous effect is active, Blade Seal will automatically stack its marks.

The duration of Venomous is affected by the target’s physical aptitude.

In my test scenario, I slashed a level 15 test monster once, causing 20 seconds of continuous poison damage. After embedding Blade Seal, within these 20 seconds, Blade Seal marks stacked automatically 10 times, about once every 2 seconds.

In other words, I would normally have to strike 10 times to stack 10 marks, but thanks to Venomous, I only needed a single slash.

Here’s a direct demonstration video (video attached).

After watching the video, I’m sure you all now realize just how powerful this Star Vein combo really is.

After entering mist form with Duskhaze to approach the target, one stab with a dagger allows for immediate retreat. The attacked target will suffer continuous HP loss from Venomous poison, while also accumulating stacked Blade Seal marks. This attack also carries the Shatter trait’s armor-breaking effect, resulting in terrifying lethality.

Even if the target doesn’t die in one strike, we can still quickly retreat.

Even without manually triggering it, Blade Seal marks will detonate after several dozen seconds.

Thus, this build not only delivers lethal strikes but also applies continuous damage even if the assassination fails.

I highly recommend Assassin Build players give this a try. Blade Seal’s weapon design and strength perfectly fit the assassin’s needs, filling the game’s last missing piece for the Assassin Build. Future optimizations can also be made based on this core combination.

At the end of the post, I leave these two lines for my fellow Assassin Build players:

The Gargoyle is the shield of the weak; the Blade Seal is the soul of the artist.

Treat every assassination as a meticulously choreographed performance. Write every influencing factor, environment, target strength, and more, into the script, and at the perfect moment, stage a bloody masterpiece and deliver your artistic finale.
