Chapter 82-3: Anti-Tide Reserve Trainees (3) |
An hour later.
A figure entered the room.
The newcomer stood nearly two meters tall, humanoid in structure, with muscles like rough rock, sharply defined and solid.
The most distinctive feature was a string of energy beads embedded around his neck, flashing rhythmically with his breathing.
Analysis information appeared.
[Mad Sand (Anti-Tide Legion)]:
Hunt Level: 97
Target Description: Outstanding warrior of the Nine-Ring Race, ‘Thorn-rank’ warrior of the Anti-Tide Legion, currently stationed at Anti-Tide Legion Training Camp No. 323, serving as Chief Combat Instructor, responsible for training new generation Reserve recruits from various races.
—
They also realized how deep the foundation of the Anti-Tide Legion truly was.
God of Wealth was only a Reserve warrior, and his strength had already reached level 53. As an official warrior, Mad Sand’s strength was naturally much greater.
Sweeping his gaze across Li Zheng and the others, Mad Sand frowned slightly.
“I don’t understand why Broken Star insisted on recommending you to join the Anti-Tide Legion. But now that you’re here, I set the rules. From now on, you must obey my orders unconditionally. Even if I order you to die, you must do so without hesitation.”
As he spoke, Mad Sand raised his hand, and the black wristband on his arm lit up, producing a green Information Stone.
“The next batch of recruits will arrive tomorrow. I need to first understand and record your personal information as well as your racial background… I’ll ask, you answer.” With that, Mad Sand pressed the Information Stone and began questioning Li Zheng and the others for detailed information.
When he heard Li Zheng explain that their bodies would sometimes be pulled back by their race’s homeland power, causing unstable returns, Mad Sand was quite surprised but simply nodded and said.
“I’ll report your special case. Continue with the questioning.”
After recording all the information, Mad Sand began introducing the rules and facilities of the camp, including the dining hall, training grounds, repair rooms, and so on.
He specifically emphasized the taboos Broken Star had mentioned.
Fighting among recruits from different races was allowed in the camp, and the medical room could heal any injury, even severed limbs, with specialized medical instructors performing restoration. However, fatalities during fights were strictly forbidden. Causing the death of another race’s member would result in immediate execution.
Throughout Mad Sand’s briefing, Li Zheng and the others were extremely cooperative, fearing they might anger the instructor and jeopardize their mission.
After the introduction, Mad Sand announced that new recruit training would begin tomorrow and told them to remain here and wait. He then turned and left.
—
The next morning.
Li Zheng and the others, still asleep, were jolted awake by Mad Sand’s roar.
“Get up! Assemble at the training ground!”
“What the hell, yelling like that, do you have any manners…”
Before Murderous Intent Rising could finish complaining, Li Zheng and Dirt Poor pounced and tightly covered his mouth.
“Instructor, we’ll be there right away.”
At that moment, Mad Sand stomped forcefully, releasing an invisible burst of energy that sent Li Zheng and the others flying into the wall.
“Three minutes. I want to see you at the training ground.”
With that, he turned and left.
“Murderous Intent, are you crazy? You almost got us killed.”
Looking embarrassed now that he was fully awake, Murderous Intent Rising waved his hands repeatedly.
“Brothers, I’m sorry. My brain wasn’t working after being woken up. My bad, my bad.”
After quickly tidying the messy room, they sprinted toward the training ground at full speed.
Upon entering, they noticed dozens of new recruits had already gathered.
All these new recruits had humanoid body structures, but their appearances varied greatly.
Some had towering, bull-like heads on humanoid bodies.
Some had four arms, with their bodies covered in complex symbols.
Some had human-like upper bodies but tentacle-covered lower bodies, and so on.
At that moment, Mad Sand, the officer in charge of Snow Valley Training Camp, stood in front of the recruits, waiting for all the new trainees to assemble.
Seeing this, Li Zheng and the others quickly stood at the back of the formation.
While waiting, spatial vortexes continuously tore open in the sky as new recruits, escorted by elders from their races, arrived at the training camp.
During this time, Li Zheng and the others curiously observed the nearby recruits, using Analysis to check their information.
They discovered that all the new recruits had hunt levels above 30, while their own strength ranked near the bottom.
Game Gold-Farmer: Guys, God of Wealth said we’d get bullied here. Looking at their hunt levels… we really might lose.
Murderous Intent Rising: Damn, are we going to get beat up like the explorer too?
Dirt Poor: God of Wealth told us, even if we lose, we have to fight with all we’ve got. At least don’t lose in terms of spirit, or the instructors and other students will despise us, and it’ll be even harder to survive here.
Leopard-Headed F2P: Should we strike first and pick a fight to make them think we’re vicious and not easy targets?
—
After Leopard-Headed F2P’s suggestion, everyone turned their eyes to him.
“Did I say something wrong?”
Just as Li Zheng and the others were about to respond to the idea, a nearby alien recruit suddenly turned toward them and spoke.
“Hey, which race are you from? You all look pretty weak.”
The recruit had four eyes and looked at them with open disdain.
Focusing their gaze, identity analysis appeared.
[Ghost Eye]:
Hunt Level: 41
Target Analysis: Outstanding new-generation member of the Four-Eyed Race. Possesses powerful awareness perception and mental control abilities. Each of the four pupils holds a different bloodline talent: Eye of Insight, Eye of Illusion, Eye of Elements, and Eye of Resonance.
—
“Damn, this troublemaker’s hunt level is high. What should we do, guys?”
“Don’t react to him. He’s provoking us because he thinks we’re easy prey. We can’t give him any face or he’ll push even harder.”
“Bullying starts this fast? Training hasn’t even begun yet and they’re already testing us.”
At that moment, Ghost Eye interrupted their voice chat again.
“Hey, I’m talking to you. Which race are you from? I’ve never seen you before.”
Realizing the provocation was here, Li Zheng calmly replied.
“You’re talking to me?”
“Yes, you and your companions. What race are you?”
“I’m Lack of Sleep.”
Smiling, Li Zheng gave his answer, followed by the others one by one.
“I’m Lack of Salary.”
“I’m Lack of Battery.”
“I’m Lack of Nutrition.”
“I’m Lack of Sacrificial Power.”
