Chapter 109: HP: ???

In an instant, the constantly moving black fog and the writhing blisters were frozen in place.

It was as if this area had been framed by some unknown force and the pause button had been pressed.

Every particle separated from the black fog was visible, and the pus oozing from the bursting blisters was suspended mid-air in an eerie yet beautiful trajectory.

"Although it was supposed to create an infinite looping space, it seems like it's trapped in an infinite loop of a single moment..."

Guan Shan couldn't help but feel curious about what the BOSS was experiencing in that space.

However, this was not the time for curiosity, as the mirror-formed space would only last for 10 seconds before disappearing. If he didn't kill the BOSS within this time, it would be another fierce battle.

Guan Shan grabbed the Demon Blade and began slashing wildly. With his Attack Power now boosted to 1300 after killing many monsters, ten slashes should be enough to kill the BOSS!

Unfortunately, fate had other plans. He had only slashed four times when he heard a strange noise.

"Uh... a pig's squeal?"

Guan Shan was momentarily confused, then saw a group of massive, headless, tumor-like monsters charging from another corridor.

These pig-like creatures had no heads, only a mass of tumors, and their legs had been severed, replaced by bloody connective tissues dragging their enormous bodies.

From beneath their folds of fat, numerous insect-like limbs writhed, suggesting that parasites controlled these creatures from within.

At the same time, information about these monsters appeared before Guan Shan.

It was clear that the hospital's monsters were all derived from diseases, marked by their ailments.

【[Tumor] Patient (lv.14)】

【HP: ???】

【Description: Do not disturb them. Their souls are as fragile as candle flames in the wind, leaving only their shells to endlessly consume and grow.】

"???"

Guan Shan was dumbfounded, checking and rechecking the information on the "Tumor Patients" to ensure he wasn't seeing things: "A whole apartment building with 110,000 HP was bearable. But a single monster with unknown HP is beyond me! Is the simulator broken?"

Facing monsters whose HP couldn't be seen left Guan Shan deeply despairing.

And it wasn't just one; it was a horde!

"How am I supposed to fight this? This is impossible!"

Sweating profusely, Guan Shan realized his only hope lay in killing the BOSS within the remaining time, thus ending the dungeon. As for killing all the monsters—he'd given up on that idea.

Guan Shan's heart raced, his slashing speed increasing as the monsters closed in.

Only as they approached did he see the connective tissues beneath their bodies.

"Is that... a mouth?"

Indeed, it was.

Guan Shan quickly gained firsthand experience.

The headless monsters, about the size of a person, emitted strange pig-like squeals, surrounding Guan Shan. Suddenly, they reared back.

Layers of fat folded, revealing insect-like limbs wriggling, and a two-meter-long mouth emerged from their undersides!

The mouth spanned the creature's belly, with bright red lips and complete human-like teeth and tongue. It would seem natural on a human face but was grotesquely installed on these monsters.

The mouth opened wide, revealing yellowing teeth like guillotines and a tongue writhing from the abdominal cavity, spewing thick, sticky saliva.

The connective tissues contracted, making the sight incredibly nauseating.

This grotesque display, much more horrifying than the black fog and blisters, evoked true fear.

"Stop, stop, stop... don't come any closer!"

Guan Shan was nearly panicking. He only needed one more slash, but the monsters were closing in with their gaping mouths!

The giant tongue almost touched him, the stench from their mouths unmistakable, and the squeals growing louder.

"Damn, damn, damn... what is this thing!"

Guan Shan's skin crawled, veins throbbing on his forehead. Within a second, he tightened his grip on the blade, unable to resist swinging it at the nearest "Tumor Patient."

"Slash!"

The Demon Blade sliced through the tongue, cleaving into the layers of fat.

Instead of blood, white fat spewed out, rapidly regenerating and covering the wound, even growing extra. The severed tongue regrew instantly.

Seeing this, Guan Shan understood why the HP was "???."

"With such regeneration, it grows more the more you kill it?!"

His heart sank as the Mirror Shard's cooldown ended.

The white line vanished, and the frozen BOSS, with 2000 HP left, resumed its movement.

Guan Shan took to the air again, ready to fight.

The uncontrolled black fog now moved chaotically, like a headless fly, causing havoc.

Despite its disorganized state, its destructive power was significant, forcing Guan Shan into a desperate defensive stance until he landed back on the ground, exhausted.

The "Tumor Patients" closed in again.

Caught between two threats, Guan Shan noticed the doctor standing in the corridor, aiming a gun at him.

"At this rate, I won't make it! I need to quickly deal with one side!"

Frantically searching his inventory, Guan Shan found the 【Soul Capture Bell】, recalling the "Tumor Patient" description.

"A soul like a flickering candle?"

His eyes lit up: "The simulator wouldn't present an unsolvable scenario; these monsters must have a weakness— their souls!"

【Soul Capture Bell】

【Effect: Separates unstable souls from their bodies, dealing damage to the soul.】

【Description: Jingle...】

Guan Shan took it out, shaking it while activating the skill he had recently purchased from the shop—

【Soul Burning Whistle】.
