Chapter 1599: Chapter 1599. Asterion.

Yasenia practically disappeared from where she was and reappeared in front of the egg, her long dragon tail behind her wagging furiously. "Is baby going to hatch?"

The egg, which had twitched very slightly, trembled a bit more visibly. This time, the maids and girls who had come after Yasenia's sudden movements also noticed.

Seeing that small twitch, Yasenia's maternal dragon instinct flared up, and her body changed into her small dragon form. Even when they were inside, the room was large enough for her small dragon frame to fit easily.

The girls, having not seen Yasenia when she was in her "Dragon Mom" mood, looked on with surprised eyes.

"A nest… a small nest…"

Her eyes scanned the surroundings, and her claws stretched, piercing and tearing through the nearby couch. She pulled out the soft inner padding violently, and, while grabbing the egg, her tail swept the table, flinging it against the wall to clear space.

Loud crashing sounds of things being flung and items being ripped to shreds by Yasenia's sharp claws spread around. Evelyn muttered, surprised. "So… violent."

Tatyana smiled. "You should've seen her when giving birth. Even I couldn't approach at first during that time out of fear she would attack me. It took caution and patience before Yasenia allowed my presence."

Those words shocked the girls even more. They perfectly knew just how defenseless Yasenia was in front of Tatyana. Even if the woman asked Yasenia to allow her to touch her Dantian, Yasenia would flip on her belly and present it with trusting eyes.

And yet, that very same dragoness didn't allow for Tatyana to approach during the delivery process, even for a moment. So, the girls became cautious and decided not to move around and allow Yasenia to do as she pleased.

The large dragon, after destroying some furniture and placing it on the ground, gently placed the egg in the middle and circled around it. Her wing stretched above her head as she poked the egg with her snout.

Her golden slit eyes were both full of caution and anticipation, looking at the egg with loving eyes.

Andrea nodded. "She is… Whoa!"

Yasenia's tail stretched, circling around Andrea's waist, and then yanked her below her wing. Andrea was startled, but she didn't resist. Soon, the tall woman was sitting by Yasenia's head and the egg's side. Andrea blinked twice, and knowing what this meant, her heart melted into a puddle of love and affection.

Her hand caressed the excited dragon's head as she kissed her snout. Yasenia spoke. "Look, Darling! Our baby is hatching!"

The tail wagged up and down both rapidly yet carefully. Leaning on Yasenia's large dragon head, Andrea smiled. "Yes, he is."

Yasenia licked the egg, as if to encourage it. "Come on, baby. Mommy is watching~."

Suddenly, Yasenia realized that she was covering everything from her other dears, and blinked. "Oh… my mistake."

She lifted her wing and tucked it onto her back, leaving the center of her circling visible for the rest. Looking at them happily, Yasenia smiled. "My baby is hatching!"

How could they resist this overwhelming amount of adorableness? The other girls approached and sat around Yasenia's head and hind legs, leaving enough space for the egg in the middle to hatch.

The maids who had been outside were all rushing back as well, gathering at a distance and using their enhanced vision to look without bothering them. This was their Young Miss's first son, and they were curious about him.

Crack~.

A faint sound that the present immortals didn't miss appeared, making everyone focus on the gorgeous cosmic egg. Yasenia spoke softly. "Good. My baby boy is doing so well!"

Hearing his mother's voice, the creature inside seemed to struggle a bit more. Evelyn asked, curious. "Will he come out as a humanoid like Yasenia or in his dragon shape?"

Yasenia answered without looking away. "Humanoid!"

This baby had been in Yasenia's womb for over 70 years, and also took over 40 years to hatch out of the egg. So, in total, Yasenia's first baby took around 120 years to hatch. That was more than half of Yasenia's life. After all, at the moment of his birth, Yasenia was 199 years old, with her soul being 222 years old.

The egg continued moving, its shell cracking slowly. As it did, Tatyana glanced skyward suspiciously. 'No answer?'

She had her theories as to why. Unlike the mother, who had been created "artificially," this boy was a true creature born fully obeying the rules of Heaven and Earth.

So, even if Heaven didn't want Yasenia's bloodline to be born, they had to accept him as he was. Perhaps, his future tribulations would be as strong as the species's potential was just that high. However, Heaven could not do anything during this hatching.

Yasenia, who was hypersensitive to her surroundings, noticed Tatyana's very small gesture of looking up. Instantly, a terrifying chill enveloped her as she glared skyward. "If you dare… I'll destroy this world!"

Heaven didn't answer, but the murderous intent she released in that instant had caused the sky to tremble for a moment. The Heaven of this world had felt an actual threat this time around.

The girls gulped for a moment. The murderous intent was so brutal that even they, who had nothing to do with it, had momentarily frozen.

Only when Yasenia confirmed that Heaven was not playing its usual tricks did she relax and look down. Her expression, which was fierce enough to scare even Emperors and Queens, melted into a loving and gentle one. "Go ahead, baby. There is no danger."

Kali's eyes faintly widened. "The boy stopped hatching?"

Evelyn's lips twitched. "If my mother showed such a fierce attitude, I would've reacted even as a fetus."

It was absolutely no joke how brutal the aura around Yasenia had been at that time. Tatyana showed an emotional look. "So fierce that I am tearing up."

Angel glanced over, confused. "Um… You are not tearing up, Tatyana."

Tatyana smiled. "Ah… indeed. It was another place that cried in happiness."

Everyone became silent and decided to ignore the Death Empress.

Crack!

The loud sound gathered everyone's attention toward the egg. The sturdy egg, which had not looked any different outwardly, bulged a little to the side and cracked all over.

Kali exclaimed. "Oh my, what a vigorous boy."

Valeria, standing nearby, smiled. "Vigorous indeed. The shell of this egg is strong enough that an average Level 2 Transcendence Realm cultivator would find it difficult to crack."

Everyone became somewhat silent, only Yasenia exclaiming happily. "My baby boy is so strong!"

'Strong your mother!... Ah. She truly is strong…'

Kali glanced at Andrea curiously. "By the way, what about his name? Have you thought about it?"

Another large bulge appeared on the egg, and Andrea nodded. "I had been hesitating. I presented a few names to Yasenia, but I was not too convinced. While they sound good as Dragon names, they lacked proper diminutives."

Cecile tilted her head. "Diminutives?"

Andrea nodded. "Exactly. Valquerion, for example. How can you shorten it? Little Valq? Little Valion? The second one sounds somewhat good, but it just didn't stick with me."

The other girls nodded, and while the baby boy struggled, Andrea looked down and smiled. "Therefore, I thought of the name Asterion, and his little name being Aster. I believe it suits Yasenia's cosmic bloodline."

Yasenia smiled. "It also shares the first letter with your name, Darling!"

Andrea blinked and laughed, hugging Yasenia's dragon head and giving her gorgeous scales a few kisses. "It does, doesn't it?"

"Asterion and Aster…" Cecile hummed and smiled. "It does sound good. He can have a great dragon name when he grows up, while also having a name for us to call him."

Yasenia nodded. While she had liked Valquerion herself, Asterion was a really good name!

As they were discussing, energy suddenly gathered voraciously toward the egg. Everyone froze, their eyes focusing on the egg. A second later, monstrous energy burst forth from the inside of the egg, followed by a large, impacting sound.

BOOM!

The air rippled like waves, and the egg's top was pierced by a baby's arm with a clenched fist. The air shockwave from the fist was strong enough to impact the ceiling and create spiderwebs all across the structure.

While everyone looked, stupefied, the egg crumbled and revealed the boy inside.

The baby boy had a very light chocolate-milk color. It was as if Yasenia and Andrea's skin colors had mixed perfectly in the middle. His large, intelligent golden slit eyes were identical to Yasenia's, having a faint arch at the end. Moreover, like his mother, the boy had a mole below his left eye.

Just a look, and one could tell that this boy's gaze would probably make a woman's legs tremble when he grew up.

His short but dense black hair was covered with a slimy liquid from inside the egg. His body, even when he just hatched, looked more like a two-year-old boy, and behind him, a slightly thick and developed dragon tail wagged lightly. The colors of the tail were identical to Yasenia's. The only difference was that, instead of golden rings, the boy had a different pattern. It felt like golden flames stretching across his gorgeous, starlit, night sky-colored dragon tail.

Evelyn blurted. "What a handsome boy!"

Even when he looked two years old, his future looks were almost sure to be immensely attractive.

The boy looked around with his slit eyes, and he stopped as he glanced at Andrea and Yasenia's faces. He smiled happily and spoke, a milky voice belonging to a boy, his looks leaving his mouth. "Mommy! I hatched!"

Yasenia's dragon head plopped onto the ground, purring. "My baby boy is so cuteeeee!" There was a hurricane kicking up behind Yasenia from her wagging tail. Thankfully, the maids behind her silently dealt with it before it swept part of the city.

Even Andrea couldn't help but feel her heart thump with motherly love. "Hello, baby. You speak so well already."

The boy licked the slimy liquid around his cheeks and smiled. "Of course! I am a dragon!"

Dragons were a species that usually inherited some of their parents' knowledge. Therefore, a newborn dragon speaking and moving around agilely was not unusual at all.

Yasenia really wanted to lick her baby boy, but he still had to eat. So, using her energy, Yasenia spoke lovingly. "Here, baby. Eat the shell before it gets cold and hard. I am sure you will love it lots~."

The boy opened his mouth wide, revealing a row of incredibly sharp and sturdy teeth. Then, he chomped down.

Crunch! Crunch!

Kali couldn't help but sigh in admiration. "Dragon direct progeny always leaves me stunned. Such wondrous creatures."

The boy, while eating the shell and dipping it into the slightly slimy fluids of his birth, asked curiously. "What's my name, Mommy?"

Yasenia smiled, nuzzling him with her snout. "Asterion. You are named Asterion, love. Mommy will call you Aster from now on, alright?"

Asterion hugged Yasenia's snout and smiled, his golden slit eyes curving. "Alright!"
