Chapter 265: Night attack, after the dawn!

The blood-stained scissors traced a gleaming arc in the darkness, piercing into the right eye of the shadowy figure. It seemed to carry some magical damage, causing it to let out a piercing scream.

Qin Nuo wanted to seize the opportunity to strike again, but the shadow was clearly wary and turned to flee.

"Trying to escape?"

The Blood-Eyed Ghost unleashed a terrifying Ghost Power, and the erupting blood light seemed like an invisible blood hand, capturing the shadow and pinning it to the ground like a baby.

"Come!" the Blood-Eyed Ghost called out.

Qin Nuo didn't hesitate, plunging the scissors directly and forcefully into the shadow's forehead.

The powerful Ghost Power drove the entire blade into the forehead. Qin Nuo spoke, "This should be..."

Before he could finish, the shadow's eyes, which were about to dim, suddenly opened wide. Its entire body began to melt like cheese before Qin Nuo's eyes, then slipped away like an eel into the darkness.

"Hey, it got away? No worries, I'll catch another one for you!"

The Blood-Eyed Ghost spoke, the two blood eyes on the back of its hand rotating, pulling at frightening blood threads.

"No need," Qin Nuo shook his head.

"Let's call it a night."

"Why?" the Blood-Eyed Ghost asked.

"If it can survive this, it means the scissors in my hand can restrain it but can't kill it."

Qin Nuo flicked the liquid off the scissors. The shadows, upon seeing the scissors, clearly showed fear and no longer focused on him, turning their attention to the other unfortunate players.

The train passed through a lighted area, the roadside lights flashing rapidly inside the carriage.

Hearing some noise behind him, Qin Nuo turned and stabbed with the scissors, but the shadow dodged.

"Buddy, don't be nervous, it's me!"

It was Liusu, who crawled out from under the table, speaking unclearly with a finger in his mouth.

Glancing at the scissors, he added, "You're really lucky to have found a Ghost Creature that can restrain the shadows so quickly!"

"What are you doing out here?"

Liusu replied, "I've had enough sleep, came out to find some food."

He walked directly to the corners, picked up plates of cooked food, and returned to his seat.

The shadows saw him, their eyes showing a bloodthirsty gleam, but noticing something, the gleam turned to fear, and they left.

Liusu, looking natural, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and glanced at Qin Nuo, "Let's just wait until dawn. After dawn, it's another beautiful day."

"Why do you say it's beautiful?"

"Isn't it beautiful? All the food will refresh, becoming fresh and abundant. It's paradise."

With that, he returned under the table.

Qin Nuo, after a moment of silence, holding the scissors, returned to his seat.

The slaughter didn't last long, and about twenty minutes later, it gradually quieted down.

Clearly, those who could be eliminated were mostly gone.

Qin Nuo sat in the corner seat, and once the atmosphere was completely quiet, he glanced at the night outside the window and gradually closed his eyes. He wasn't afraid of a sneak attack from the shadows, with the Blood-Eyed Ghost guarding the night.

...

In the morning, Qin Nuo was awakened by the cold.

Inside the train, as soon as it was morning, the biting cold air seeped into the carriage, making everyone shiver.

When Qin Nuo opened his eyes, his sleepiness vanished immediately. A severed arm lay on the dining table, with a tray underneath, as if it had become his breakfast.

"Tsk, I was hoping to catch some more sleep."

Qin Nuo muttered, rubbing his slightly burning eyes, clearly not having had enough rest.

Hearing the sound of a game console, he looked up to see Liusu leaning against the sofa under the opposite window, holding a game console in his hands, a lollipop in his mouth, and the table covered with exquisite and abundant food.

Seeing Qin Nuo, he greeted him cheerfully, "Hi, good morning!"

Qin Nuo looked at his comical appearance, always reminded of Shi Yu.

The first time he saw this guy, he wondered if he was the actor, since there was another teammate he hadn't met, who always liked to act unpredictably. It wasn't impossible.

But last night, taking advantage of an opportunity, he examined the back of this guy's head, largely ruling him out.

Qin Nuo ignored him, refocusing on the large carriage.

Compared to yesterday, the carriage was even more blood-soaked.

The scattered food, mostly consumed by the ravenous players yesterday, had returned to its original state today.

Delicious bread, fresh milk, and abundant food whetted the appetite.

However, most of the food was stained with blood, not from the players, but from the passengers who had originally died in this carriage.

The rearranged corpses had returned to their original positions, but the scissors were still in hand.

Several players were devouring the food, spilling it everywhere. Others sat there exhausted, bearing various degrees of injuries, some quite shocking.

After a rough count, eight remained, four were eliminated, one of whom was dealt with by Liusu.

The number of eliminations wasn't high, but those who could clear the first carriage were mostly not easy targets. Being hunted down still highlighted the terror of the shadows.

Among the seven, three were injured, covered in blood, looking exhausted. If they didn't find an effective way to restrain the Ghost Creatures today, tonight would be an even greater challenge for them.

Feather leaned against the wall at the back of the carriage, arms crossed, face cold, a wound on his forehead still bleeding.

Compared to the others, his was a minor injury.

He pulled a fruit knife from his pocket, the one that had pierced a female passenger's neck, its blade shattered.

Last night, he too was attacked by shadows.

Immediately, he took out the fruit knife to fight back.

Surprisingly, the first slash wounded a shadow.

But the opponent was undeterred, continuing to attack. Feather, wielding the fruit knife, fought for a long time, but he didn't notice that each time he struck a shadow, a crack appeared on the blade.

By the time the shadows retreated, the fruit knife was completely shattered.

As a result, his face remained dark until morning.

He wasn't sure if the fruit knife was an item that restrained the shadows.

It seemed to restrain them, but not completely.

He discarded the fruit knife, poured a bag of chips into his mouth, and crunched them down.

Noticing Qin Nuo's gaze, he saw the latter was unscathed, his eyes showing clear surprise.

Qin Nuo yawned, got up, walked to the front seat, picked up a carton of milk, tore off a piece of bread, and swallowed it.

Returning to his seat, he pulled down his shirt to reveal a black scar on his shoulder, where the flesh had been torn.

This was from a shadow's attack last night. If not for his own Ghost Power resisting, he might have been torn in half, becoming part of the bloody scenery in this carriage.

He extracted Doctor Black Jack's medical kit, took out a disinfectant spray, and sprayed it twice on his shoulder.

The black claw marks and bruises vanished instantly.

Leaning back on the sofa for a small rest, he took out the blood-stained scissors, frowning slightly.

Because several cracks had appeared on the blade, and a few more would undoubtedly cause it to shatter.

"Injuring those shadows also damages the scissors. It seems the item I found still isn't good enough."

Qin Nuo muttered, looking at Liusu, who was still engrossed in his game, and said, "That finger in Liusu's mouth is the best."

Last night, just by holding it in his mouth, he could roam freely even in the dark. The shadows avoided him.

That severed finger hadn't been consumed yet, clearly much better than the scissors in Qin Nuo's hand.

He even believed Liusu had the ability to kill the shadows, but chose to stay hidden in this carriage.

Some people have that mindset, having the ability but choosing to stay safe, living in peace, content with their corner.

"I still think taking it from him would be much easier." The Blood-Eyed Ghost seemed to know Qin Nuo's thoughts, continuing to suggest yesterday's idea.

"Once your scissors break, there's no more fun to be had."

Qin Nuo shook his head, saying, "I wasn't planning to use these scissors anymore anyway. Since they can't kill the shadows, they're useless."

"Before nightfall, I'll find an item capable of killing those shadows and proceed to the fourth carriage."

The Blood-Eyed Ghost was highly skeptical, "Where does this confidence come from?"

"Because I've figured out the logic of this carriage."

"I have a rough idea of which items can resist the shadows, which can kill them, and which attract them."

Qin Nuo spoke calmly, looking at the blood-soaked corpses.

"You said it, I'll be waiting for the show tonight. Don't end up screaming for help from Blood Bro when it gets dark!" the Blood-Eyed Ghost said.

"If it comes to that, of course, I'll shout. Losing face is better than losing my life, right?" Qin Nuo chuckled.

The Blood-Eyed Ghost rolled its eyes, saying no more.

After the chat, Qin Nuo put away the blood-stained scissors and went to the front seats to examine the corpses and search their belongings.

Feather watched, squinting, hesitating for a moment before following Qin Nuo's lead, rummaging through the corpses.

Through his efforts yesterday, he had made some discoveries.

The other players appeared exhausted, seeing these two, thinking they must be on something, getting up early to continue the game strategy.

Liusu finished a game, tossed the console aside, rested his hands behind his head, and watched Qin Nuo and Feather, unable to help but chuckle, "So dedicated. Rushing to the next carriage might not be a success, perhaps a greater nightmare?"

At the front of the carriage, Qin Nuo ignored the corpses he had searched yesterday and went straight to a stunningly beautiful female passenger's corpse.

She lay there, blood covering her skin, like a withered red rose...
