[Settlement completed.]

Bai Mu finished reading the settlement list. His Grade had not increased; he remained an F-grade Player. Currently, he had only cleared two Main Scripts.

His previous Main Script had essentially been a comfortable vacation on a Deserted Island, but the very next one had thrust him straight into a grueling D-grade team Script.

Although he had cleared an Adventure Script where the danger level spiked to C-grade in between, it was glaringly obvious that Paradise was completely merciless, refusing to give him any chance to slack off.

Still, the old saying rang true: the greater the difficulty, the greater the reward.

The Points and Community Time he earned from this Script far exceeded his expectations.

He raked in a whopping 2280 Points. Considering he had only managed to scrape together 300 Points when he cleared "Deserted Island Survival" with an S-grade rating, surviving a single D-grade "Journey of Death" was more lucrative than completing the highest-rated "Deserted Island Survival" seven times over.

His Community Time had skyrocketed to 720 hours, granting him a solid surplus of thirty days.

Beyond that, he also received Script Chests and the bonus reward from the Hidden Ending. It truly was a bountiful harvest.

"As expected, the higher the Script's level, the greater the returns for a high rating," he murmured to himself.

At this moment, Bai Mu finally understood the massive benefits an S-grade rating could provide.

By killing the Mutants and the Tank, Bai Mu earned 320 and 200 extra Points, respectively. Combined with the 1000 Points for clearing the Script, his base total came to 1520. Since a larger base yielded more bonus Points from an S-grade evaluation, he managed to secure an additional 760 Points purely as a bonus.

He likewise gained an extra 240 hours of Community Time. He reckoned that clearing a D-grade Script once was almost equivalent to lower-rated Players clearing two D-grade Scripts.

And that was entirely excluding the items he had obtained from finishing Side Quests, Roulette Draws, and Script Chests.

From this perspective, the disparity in resources acquired by high-rated and low-rated Players was truly astronomical.

In his friend list, Great Northern Wilderness sent over a message. He told Bai Mu his Script rating was a B-grade, and the smiley face in the chat box clearly conveyed his stellar mood.

Great Northern Wilderness was mostly thrilled by the selectable Rare-grade equipment from the Hidden Ending. A single piece of Rare-grade gear usually sold for no less than 1000 Points, and on the Player market, the price would only be higher.

Having piggybacked off Bai Mu to obtain this reward, Great Northern Wilderness was naturally overjoyed. The Community Time rewarded by the D-grade Script was also more than enough for him and his brother to live comfortably for a while.

"Brother Bai, want to grab a few drinks later? My treat," Great Northern Wilderness messaged.

"No thanks, I plan to clear that Adventure Script first," Bai Mu replied.

The other side of the chat went silent for a moment before responding, "Alright, you do your thing, Brother Bai. We'll grab drinks when you're free."

Great Northern Wilderness probably never imagined that someone would rush off to their next set right after surviving a zombie flick.

Knowing his own personality, if he had obtained Lucy's Greeting Card, he would have definitely sold it. However, that scenario was highly unlikely to happen anyway—the chances of him getting Lucy's Greeting Card in the first place were next to zero.

Misty Rain also sent Bai Mu a message, mentioning that she had received a B-grade rating as well.

Neither she nor the brothers had completed any Hidden Quests, and their team contribution was vastly overshadowed by Bai Mu's. Thus, even though they achieved the Hidden Ending, their ratings weren't particularly high.

However, the selectable Rare-grade equipment was more than enough to make up for the shortfall.

Bai Mu chatted briefly with Misty Rain and gleaned an interesting piece of information from her.

It was intel regarding Player Grades. Misty Rain explained that every time a Player advanced a Grade, aside from unlocking certain Paradise functions, they would also receive an opportunity to select a special ability.

Simply put, an increase in a Player's Grade didn't just heighten the difficulty of matched Scripts; it also granted Players various customized capabilities.

It seemed to follow a recognizable pattern. For instance, a Player who favored combat would receive combat-related abilities, while a Player who preferred hiding would receive stealth-related ones.

The available choices varied depending on each Player's unique style, typically presenting three options to choose from.

"Mind telling me what Grade ability you got?" Bai Mu asked.

"When I went from F-grade to E-grade, the ability I received boosted the Points I get during every Script settlement based on my rating. At most, I can earn an extra 30 percent in Points."

"The ability I got from E-grade to D-grade was combat-related."

"I see," Bai Mu replied, attaching an "understood" Paradise emote.

Looking at it this way, raising his Player Grade was also a top priority.

He was only one Main Script away from ascending from F-grade to E-grade. It was another opportunity to grow stronger, and going by Misty Rain's description, this enhancement was permanent—it wouldn't become obsolete simply because his Grade increased.

Without further ado, Bai Mu decided to use Lucy's Greeting Card first before tackling another Main Script.

But before doing that, he needed to open his chests, clear out the shop, and use his Roulette Draws.

He retrieved the two Rare-grade Script Chests he had earned from soloing the Tank. They were two small, silver boxes.

[Do you want to open the Script Chest (Rare)?]

[Yes/No]

"Yes," Bai Mu confirmed.

Click. The chests opened automatically.

[You have obtained a reward: "Boomer's Bile" x1]

[You have obtained a reward: "First Aid Kit" x1]

He had already encountered First Aid Kits in the Script. Using one instantly restored 80 percent of a Player's Health. It was a highly timely and effective healing Consumable, practically a lifesaver.

However, Bai Mu had never seen the bile before. As he stared at the jar of green liquid, its attributes surfaced.

[Name: Boomer's Bile]

[Type: Consumable Item]

[Quality: Rare]

[Effect: Throwing the bile summons a Zombie horde at the impact site that lasts for 30 seconds. The Zombies will endlessly attack any character covered in the bile until death.]
