Chapter 697: Farewell

I know many will be disappointed, but I have decided to end both my Harry Potter fan fiction series. I tried to live as a good person, someone I can be proud of when I look in the mirror. I'm also a person of color who tries to advocate and do good for my community. So, in good conscience, I can no longer be associated with, support, or profit from anything related to the author of Harry Potter: JK Rowling.

For the longest time, I tried to deceive myself with the notion of separating the art from the artist, but when the author of a series you love dearly started quoting Hitler, it's hard to swallow the pill of deception — even if it's of my own creation. Truth be told, I'm ashamed of myself that it took so long to make this decision. I suppose it's better late than never.

I'm writing this letter to announce a few things about what will happen and what to expect from me in the future. HP: Dimensional Wizards has been going for over 700 chapters, so I feel I owe you guys a semblance of a conclusion. Currently, in my Pa***on, I'm writing about the Elden Ring World. I will complete that world this month, and then I will release one or two chapters revealing the ideas I had for the future and how the story will conclude. As for HP: Planeswalker, it will continue until Chapter 145, which is the end of the second volume.

Now, if any of you are wondering what's in the future of LazySage? Well, I'm glad to announce I will be writing a new original series about magic. Suppose you enjoy certain aspects of my writing, such as a unique magic system, multiple power systems, magic research, world-hopping, magic innovation, civilization building, a gifted and powerful protagonist, and great fights. In that case, you will love my next work: Dimension Tower (working title). The current plan for a release date is the middle of November, but we'll see.

Another reason for this decision is that I realized most of my fanfics are essentially original works full of great ideas; I was not courageous enough to write them, so I used the banner of existing IPs to ensure I had readers. Well, I won't do that anymore. I have many great ideas that I planned to use in HP: Planeswalker, but now, I will incorporate them into this new story.

Well, that's everything. I'm embarking on a new stage of my life, and hopefully, a few of you will join me on this new journey.

I really cant see the problem, this is his work with his own understanding and rules etc... even if it was once upon base on her work, i dont get how anythings JK says may affect o reflect upon what this author has created, is truly a shame to forfeit this novel which has bring me great joy and perspective....
There is nothing i can do to change the outcome of his decision i can only hope that the author at some point will find another perspective in this matter, just like he has done for me so manu times while reading this novel.
Good luck with your next endevours.

While upsetting not to see the novel conclude quite as planned, I think it's fair to still give your readers some extent of a conclusion like you plan to. As someone who has tried to write books countless times, I know it's tough to continue writing when it stops being fun. I'll be patiently waiting for your next work.

It was pretty clear the author had already abandoned the story, judging by how few chapters came out last year.

I just wish he’d drop one last chapter giving a rundown of the next arcs—like how he beats the guy from the current one, how he handles the Marvel arc stuff, and finally explain what the hell that war Merlin’s been talking about for over 600 chapters actually is.

Good luck to the author with his new projects. I probably won’t be reading them though—kinda hard to trust authors who never finish a story but keep starting new ones and leaving them hanging.

Well, from what I understand, he plans to continue releasing chapters until it catches up to pat**on's current arc in the Eldin Ring world. He'll also be writing a few chapters after the Eldin Ring arc finishes to conclude the story.

Also, I'm thinking uploads slowed down when he started writing his other HP fanfic.

Anyways, I thought I'd mention that he didn't drop this one, just wrapped it up quicker than planned.

still one of my favorite authors but i expected more of you to be bound by this societal rules that change with the current government policies that have nothing to do with morality and so what even if JK Rowling is a bad person(that i don't believe she is) there is no good or bad person there is no punishment or reward it is just living your life and trying to do better than yesterday but still you may be right and i just consumed too much edge lord content on the internet. reader
