Chapter 396: Interview 2(Second Update)

Nolan.

There was a three-hour time difference between the Kingdom of Frost and Nolan.

When the Dark Elves sent a message to Joshua saying, “I’m going to interview Prince Shere,”Joshua was already lying in bed, ready to sleep.

This message made Joshua sit up straight on his bed, and then he put on his clothes and went to the lobby of the first floor of the Hearthstone Tavern.

The Hearthstone Tavern would never close. Even if it was one or two o’clock in the evening, dwarves could still be seen drinking and some spellcasters who liked to move around at night.

“I heard that the army led by Prince Shier this time came from the fortress.”

“Isn’t this civil strife? Trying to seize the throne in the name of expelling the Kingdom of the sacred religion?”

“How is that possible? It’s said that the prince is the King’s appointed successor.”

As Joshua walked past the hall, he vaguely heard a few spellcasters discussing the issue of the Frost Nation.

The documentary that was broadcast today, which lasted less than an hour, caused a huge reaction in Nolan. The most direct proof was that the number of people watching Nolan’s voice on that day had increased in a straight line.

“Maybe the demons are really plotting something behind the scenes.”

“Stop talking about it! You’re burning the rope! Show your cards!”

“UH… There’s no other way! Come out! Cousin Deathwing!”

Joshua listened to the discussions of the spellcasters and the shouts of the dwarves all the way to the Silent Hall on the second floor.

Due to the problem of the material sent by the Dark Elves, Joshua did not reveal the inside story of the internal strife on that day. Even if the Dark Elves were about to interview Prince Shier, Joshua did not intend to reveal it for the time being.

It was best for the audience to continue guessing at this time. The mystery needed to be solved at the end.

However, Joshua did not intend to let thousand faces conduct the interview alone tonight.

“Tyreen, why are you sleeping here?”

When Joshua pushed open the door of the Hall of silence, he found that Tyreen was sleeping in the Hall of silence.

The vines of the World Tree had already covered the entire hall of silence. The vines had also constructed a hammock. When Joshua walked into the hall of Silence, Tyreen gradually woke up.

“Mr. Joshua?”

Tyreen climbed up from the hammock supported by the vines and rubbed her sleepy eyes.

“The holy tree, Emlucy, said that it likes this place. Mr. Joshua, have you thought of any new stories?”

Tyreen glanced at the clock hanging outside the hall of silence. It was already two o’clock in the night.

“Ahem… It’s not a new story. I’m going to conduct a long-distance interview. Tyreen, if you want to participate, put on your clothes first.”

Joshua turned his head when he saw what Tyreen was wearing. This Frost Elf had become more and more defenseless after Nolan had lived a comfortable life.

Now, Tyreen was wearing a light gauze nightgown. The unique good figure of the elves could be seen clearly under the light.

“HMM…”

Tyreen also realized that her clothes were a little inappropriate. She immediately summoned a vine to block in front of her.

“I’m… I’m sorry, Mr. Joshua. I didn’t expect someone to come to the hall of silence at this time.”

“It’s nothing.”

When Joshua turned his head, he saw his assistant, Miss Healy’s face pressed against the glass of the Hall of silence.

“I heard the sound of your room door opening at night, so I followed you here,”Healy said as he pushed open the door of the Hall of silence and walked in.

The Spellcaster’s stealth level had reached a level that Joshua could not detect, and Hiri was also wearing pajamas.

It was just a very ordinary one..

“What’s with that pitiful expression of yours?”Hiri asked.

“Now is not the time to dwell on this. I should start working.”

Joshua cleverly changed the topic and sat directly in front of the table in the Silent Hall. He directly opened the terminal of the Mana Net, opened the Dark Elf’s text message, and sent out a voice communication request.

“Thousand-face has already started preparing to interview the Prince of the Frost Kingdom. If you have any questions to ask the prince, I can relay them on your behalf.”

Joshua took out a piece of paper and recorded the questions that the people on the Spellcaster Forum were most concerned about.

The Dark Elf accepted Joshua’s voice message.

“Thousand-face, has the interview started?”Joshua asked.

..

“The Prince of the Frost Kingdom is more shy than I expected. She’s preparing now. It’ll probably take some time.”

The Dark Elf had just received a voice call from Joshua, and his gaze was fixed on the room where Prince Shere was.

“So the interview means that it’ll be like those actors in the ‘movie’?”Shere poked his head out of the room and asked.

“That’s right, your figure will be displayed in front of all of Nolan’s citizens.”

The Dark Elves did not know what the Prince was hesitating about.

In the meeting of the White Frost Deer family, shier showed her cold-blooded and decisive determination as a ruler, but she was very hesitant when facing the camera.

After learning from the dark elves that Nolan’s citizens would see her, she insisted on changing her clothes to accept the interview.

However, after much hesitation, she still chose to accept the interview in this simple male outfit.

“The citizens of the Frost Kingdom will also see this interview, right?”Shier asked.

“Of course.”

The Dark Elves did not think that Nolan’s voice would really stop at Nolan. Just like what Joshua had said before, there would be a day when this program would spread throughout the world.

Moreover, a portion of Nolan’s citizens came from the Frost Kingdom.

“I think I’m ready.”

Shier found two chairs and sat down face to face with the dark elves.

After the dark elves killed the three heretic inquisitors, she showed shier her magic net terminal.

What surprised shier the most was that this elf’s reading of the books in the immovable library was surprisingly similar to her hobby.

This made shier temporarily believe that the Dark Elf had no ill intentions, and she accepted the invitation for an interview.

“So, first question.”

After the Dark Elf chose a suitable angle to place the camera, she began to ask the first question according to the prompt in Joshua’s text message.

“What made you decide to eliminate the church’s influence in the Frost Kingdom?”

Eliminate the church’s influence?

When she was asked this question, shier was slightly stunned. Her original intention was to eliminate the judges and warn the church.

But just as shier wanted to deny the dark elves’question, she fell silent.

Was warning really useful? Or could she still maintain the alliance between the Frost Kingdom and the sacred church after what she had done?

It was indeed possible, but only if the king of the Kingdom of Frost sent her to the guillotine!

At the thought of this, shier once again turned back into the ice-cold Queen in front of the camera.

“The Kingdom of the sacred religion has made a mistake, so they must be punished. They must be severely punished,”she said.

BRINGING CULTURE TO A DIFFERENT WORLD 396 - Interview 2 (Second Update)

    Norland.
A three-hour time difference separated Frostfell and Norland.

When the Dark Elf messaged Joshua, "I'm about to interview Prince Shier," Joshua was already preparing for bed.

The message jolted him awake. He dressed and descended to the Hearthstone Tavern's lobby.

The tavern never closed. Dwarves drank late into the night, and some mages often favored nocturnal activities.

"I hear Prince Shier's army came from the fortress," a mage murmured, swirling the amber liquid in his mug. "A rather swift and decisive move."

"Isn't it just a power grab? Claiming to expel Aetherion to seize the throne?" another countered, his tone laced with skepticism. "Such sudden action always raises suspicion."

"Impossible. He's the King's appointed successor, they say," a third interjected, his voice firm. "And the inquisitors were clearly a threat to the nation."

Joshua overheard the mages discussing Frostfell's turmoil. Today's documentary, though brief, had sparked intense interest in Norland, evident in the surge of viewers on the Voice of Norland.

"Perhaps demons are manipulating events," a dwarf speculated, his eyes darting nervously. "The inquisitors' influence runs deep, and their corruption is insidious."

"Enough talk! Play your cards!" another shouted, interrupting the conversation, the clatter of cards echoing through the tavern.

Joshua ignored the tavern's chatter, his attention focused on the upcoming interview. Due to the Dark Elf's material, he hadn't revealed the full scope of the conflict. He intended to maintain suspense, allowing speculation to fuel interest.

However, he wouldn't leave Thousand Faces to conduct the interview alone. The stakes were too high, and the potential for misinterpretation too great.

Joshua moved from the lively tavern to the soundproofed noiseless room, seeking a space conducive to the delicate task at hand.

"Tylene, why are you sleeping here?"
Joshua found Tylene asleep in the noiseless room.

The room was enveloped in World Tree vines, forming a makeshift hammock. Tylene stirred as he entered, her emerald eyes blinking sleepily.

"Mr. Joshua?" she asked, rubbing her eyes, her voice soft.

"Emlucy, the holy tree, likes this place. Do you have any new stories?" she inquired, glancing at the clock. It was two a.m., a time when even the most dedicated mages sought rest.

"It's not a story. I'm conducting a long-distance interview. Dress appropriately if you wish to participate," Joshua said, averting his gaze, his cheeks slightly flushed.

Tylene, comfortable in Norland, wore a sheer nightgown. Her elven figure was clearly visible under the soft glow of the room's magical illumination.

"Oh..." she stammered, summoning vines to shield herself, her face reddening. "I didn't expect anyone at this hour."

    "It's fine."

Ciri, Joshua's assistant, entered, having followed him, her steps silent and swift. She was also in pajamas, her expression curious.

"Why the pitiful expression?" she asked, her voice laced with amusement.

"We have work," Joshua replied, changing the subject. He sat at the table and opened the magic net, preparing to contact the Dark Elf.

"Thousand Faces is preparing to interview Prince Shier. If you have questions, I can relay them," he said, noting down forum queries, eager to capture the public's interest.

The Dark Elf accepted the call.

"Thousand Faces, is the interview starting?" Joshua asked, his voice crisp and professional.

    ...

"The Prince is more reserved than expected. She's preparing," the Dark Elf replied, watching Shier's room, her expression a mix of curiosity and professional focus.

"So, the interview is like those 'movie' actors?" Shier asked, peeking out, her voice laced with a hint of apprehension.

"Yes. You'll be visible to Norland's citizens."
The Dark Elf was puzzled by Shier's hesitation.

Despite her decisive actions with the White Frost Deer family, Shier was camera-shy. After learning she'd be seen in Norland, she insisted on changing, ultimately choosing a simple male outfit, a compromise between formality and comfort.

"Frostfell's citizens will see this, too?" Shier asked, her eyes searching the Dark Elf's.

    "Of course."

The Dark Elf believed the broadcast would reach beyond Norland, as Joshua had predicted. The potential for influence was immense.

"I'm ready," Shier announced, arranging chairs, her posture stiff but determined.

The Dark Elf had shown Shier her magic net terminal after the inquisitor incident.
Shier was surprised by their shared interest in the Immovable Library's books, trusting the Dark Elf enough for the interview. The common ground was a bridge in a hostile land.

"First question," the Dark Elf said, positioning the camera, her voice professional. "Why did you decide to eliminate Aetherion's influence in Frostfell?"

Shier paused, her expression hardening. Her initial goal was to eliminate the inquisitors and warn Aetherion.

But could a warning suffice? Could the alliance survive her actions?

Only if the Frostfell King executed send her to the guillotine.

She adopted a cold, regal demeanor, her voice resonating with authority.

"Aetherion crossed a line, and in doing so, violated the trust of Frostfell. They corrupt and brought danger to our lands. Manipulate our people. They have proven themselves untrustworthy, and therefore, they must be punished. Severely"
