Chapter 1285: Third Eye

The river of blood lightning continued moving forward.

It was unstoppable, merciless, and absolute.

The sheer amount of energy reverberating through the battlefield caused the surrounding space to shake uncontrollably.

Even the strongest beings present felt their hearts tighten.

Urhan’s pupils contracted.

Armante’s expression darkened.

Aldemaran felt a chill run down his spine.

Even Sea Devourer instinctively retreated.

"This...?!" Aldemaran’s voice trembled.

"This level of power...!!"

The attack had already surpassed what many of them considered reasonable for an Initial Fifth Stage monster.

No!

It had surpassed what many Advanced Fifth Stage monsters could achieve.

Then, a streak of blood-red lightning broke away from the torrent.

It crossed the battlefield instantly.

It was too fast.

Urhan barely had time to react.

BOOM!!!

The lightning struck him directly.

A horrifying force exploded across his body. Cracks immediately spread across his flesh and armor. Blood erupted from his mouth. Then his entire body was blasted downward.

Like a falling meteor.

BOOOOMMMM!!!

The seabed exploded.

Millions of tons of rock were pulverized.

A massive crater formed instantly as Urhan crashed into the depths below.

The shockwave spread for kilometers.

For a moment, the battlefield became silent.

Even the surviving experts stared in disbelief.

Urhan, one of the strongest figures in the Creasant Republic, had been sent crashing into the seabed by a single attack.

Seeing this, Armante’s eyes turned bloodshot.

"ENOUGH!!"

His furious roar shook the battlefield.

The enormous magic formation beneath him suddenly burst into brilliant light.

After gathering power for so long, the Forbidden Spell was complete.

A force capable of destroying entire regions descended upon the battlefield.

Souta turned his head. His crimson eyes locked directly onto Armante.

At this moment, all the energy within his Primordian had been depleted. In exchange, he unleashed the true power of the Eternal Eclipse Primordian.

The third eye had opened. .

His perception now encompassed everything within a one-hundred-kilometer radius. His power flowed through every corner of the region. Moreover, he was clad in his Emperor Armor, making the strength he possessed now far greater than before.

Souta sneered as his power gathered in the space around Armante.

"Come!"

In an instant, the [Orb of Arcane Seal] floating beside him emitted a brilliant light.

The surrounding space cracked.

Then an enormous sword descended from above.

It was the very same Forbidden Spell that Armante had cast earlier.

Using the universal-grade [Orb of Arcane Seal], Souta had copied its magic circle before.

Whoosh!!

As the sword descended, Aldemaran and Sea Devourer moved simultaneously.

Their bodies transformed into streaks of light as they arrived above Armante to intercept the giant sword.

ROAR!!

Sea Devourer’s body rapidly expanded, transforming into a two-hundred-meter-long giant ray covered in red stripes. His tail resembled that of a venomous serpent.

The temperature rose instantly, and the surrounding waters began to boil.

At the same time, Aldemaran held nothing back and unleashed his Elemental Drive.

His Ninth Shackle Realm energy surged through the waters, rushing straight toward the descending sword.

Both Aldemaran and Sea Devourer faced the incoming attack head-on.

Armante, on the other hand, completed the magic circle of another Forbidden Spell. Although he was shocked that Souta could cast the same spell, he had no time to dwell on it.

He knew that more than a half of the total number of Seventh Shackle Realm and Eighth Shackle Realm experts had already perished.

No matter what, he had to stop Souta from killing more.

Souta bent his knees and launched himself forward.

At the same time, a terrifying beam of dark and blue energy twisted together as it shot from Armante’s palm.

The surrounding water vanished almost instantly, creating a vacuum. Even light and air seemed to be erased as the beam tore through space itself.

[Extinction Destroyer Ray]!!!

Whooosh!!

Souta looked at the incoming beam, and his instincts immediately warned him of the danger it posed.

’A Forbidden Spell...’

He narrowed his eyes.

He could minimize the damage by using the Third and Fourth Forms of his Archetype. However, doing so would give Armante and the others a precious second to react.

’I won’t block it. I’ll avoid my vital points instead. The injuries will enhance my strength, and as long as I can endure the attacks, I will only grow stronger.’

Souta shifted his body.

The deathly ray arrived before him in less than a second.

It was too fast.

Whiiizz!!!

The deathly ray tore across the battlefield.

Souta’s instincts screamed. He twisted his body at the last possible moment.

Even so, the ray grazed his shoulder.

A chill ran through him.

The dark crimson armor covering his body crumbled instantly upon contact.

There was no resistance.

No struggle.

The ray simply erased everything in its path.

Crack!

The armor on his shoulder shattered. The destructive force tore through the protective layers and carved deep into his flesh, leaving a gruesome wound behind.

Huff!!

Souta forcefully spun his body. His hand suddenly reached into the distorted space around him. Then he grabbed it.

The fabric of space warped beneath his fingers as though it were a tangible object. With a violent pull, he dragged himself forward.

The deathly ray passed through his torso.

Blood exploded from his back and the force completely shattered his lungs. For an instant, breathing became impossible. Well, this wasn’t much of a problem as he could survive without breathing.

The metallic taste of blood surged into his mouth. Yet Souta swallowed it.

His expression did not change and his eyes remained fixed on his target.

The third eye on his forehead glowed.

Darkness and light erupted from its depths.

The surrounding space twisted violently.

The two opposing forces spread through the fractured fabric of space, pulling and folding space around him.

Whoooosh!!

Souta vanished.

A sonic explosion erupted behind him.

His body shot forward at terrifying speed.

The gigantic hole in his chest was clearly visible.

Blood poured from the wound. Fragments of destroyed organs could be seen within. Yet even as he moved, flesh rapidly regenerated. Muscles reformed, blood vessels connected, and organs reconstructed themselves.

The wound visibly healed with every passing second.

Armante’s eyes widened, shock flashed across his face.

The speed and the regeneration.

The sheer madness of it all.

He immediately raised his staff.

But it was too late.

Souta had already arrived.

Blood-red lightning exploded around him. His crimson armor gleamed ominously, his scarlet eyes shone with feral excitement, and the smile on his face.

The sword in his hand gathered an overwhelming amount of blood-red lightning. The surrounding space distorted under the pressure before he thrust it.

[Second Form: Blood Lightning Piercing Through the Heavens]!!

[Fourth Form: Lightning Critical Enhancement]!!

A crimson flash illuminated the battlefield.

Armante instinctively retreated.

Yet the moment he moved, his expression changed.

"...?"

Something felt wrong.

He looked down and saw darkness and light.

The two elemental powers had emerged directly from the fabric of space itself.

Like chains, they wrapped around his arms, restricting his movement for the briefest moment.

A moment was all Souta needed.

Armante’s pupils contracted.

He understood immediately.

It was already too late.

BOOOOMMMM!!!

The blood-red lightning crashed into him. The attack struck his chest and burst through his back in a spray of blood and shattered scales.

The battlefield shook violently.

Armante’s body trembled.

The dense lightning invaded every inch of him. It surged through his flesh, bones, organs, and blood.

He felt as though he were being burned alive from the inside out.

Every nerve screamed.

Every cell was assaulted by overwhelming destruction.

Blood-red lightning exploded from countless cracks across his body, illuminating him like a living furnace.

The President of the Creasant Republic could only grit his teeth as the devastating power of the Blood Lightning Monster ravaged him from within.

His defense and resistance were crumbling.

"Argh!!!"

His body was blasted away, sent flying several kilometers into the distance as blood-colored lightning pursued him relentlessly.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A series of explosions reverberated across the battlefield.

Souta revealed a faint smile as he lowered his sword.

His perception encompassed everything within a hundred-kilometer radius, and what he could do with it was terrifying.

He could command darkness and light throughout that region, causing them to appear anywhere at his will.

The laws of darkness and light were on his side.

Unless his opponent was a Tenth Shackle Realm expert, overpowering him was nearly impossible.

However, Souta felt that this was not the full extent of his power.

He simply wasn’t strong enough to display it yet.

He had a vague feeling that once he reached the intermediate or advanced stage, he would be able to access the pathway leading to the conceptual Eternal Moon.

Whooosh!!

Less than a second had passed since Armante cast the Forbidden Spell [Extinction Destroyer Ray] and was blasted away by Souta.

The remaining Seventh Shackle Realm and Eighth Shackle Realm experts could only catch a blur.

Everything had happened far too quickly for them to follow.

Suddenly, the entire area shook once again, and the spatial cracks spread even further.

BOOM!!!

Aldemaran and Sea Devourer successfully blocked the gigantic sword descending from above.

The two of them were aware of what had happened to Armante, but they couldn’t afford to divide their attention while facing a lethal Forbidden Spell.

They could only hope that Armante had avoided any serious injuries. Otherwise, their overall combat strength would be greatly reduced.

After blocking the gigantic sword, Aldemaran and Sea Devourer looked down.

Souta was looking at them as well.
