Chapter 807: Hope To See You Again

The brief exchange was enough for Lin Moyu to confirm the woman's origin.

She came from the greater world.

Lin Moyu had long known there was a certain connection between the deep layer and the greater world.

Otherwise, the deep layer would never have become the great battlefield of the past.

Even in previous eras, countless battles had unfolded within the deep layer.

Still, entering the deep layer was not something anyone could do freely.

Jiang Yi, for example, had never been able to enter.

The woman studied Lin Moyu. Shielded by the Dragon Bead, he carried a mysterious aura she couldn’t see through.

“You must be the strongest person in this world.” Her voice was cool but carried no arrogance.

Lin Moyu replied calmly, “Something like that.”

“You’ve come this far, so your strength is impressive. But don’t go any further.”

It wasn’t an order. Her tone was calm, as if it were just a simple statement of fact.

Lin Moyu turned his gaze toward the center, where the world core rested.

Beyond the mottled colors, he could see countless streaks of dark light.

The closer one approached the world core, the more concentrated the streaks became.

The dark light alone didn’t seem enough to threaten him. Unless something worse was hidden deeper inside.

A trace of confusion crossed his eyes.

The woman explained, “The closer you get to the core, the stronger the light of destruction becomes. Its power, density, and frequency all rise dramatically.”

“Only those who reach Transcendent God 9th tier and possess certain special methods stand a chance.”

“As a fellow human, I don’t want to see you throw your life away. It’s already rare for a powerhouse to emerge from a small world. I hope you survive long enough to enter the greater world and witness how vast heaven and earth truly are.”

There was no malice in her words, only sincerity.

“So this dark light is called light of destruction.” Lin Moyu had finally learned its name.

The woman showed a knowing expression, “Light of destruction is formed from the law of destruction. It carries the power to destroy all things.”

“The world core doesn’t want to be claimed, so it protects itself with the light of destruction.”

“Even though it’s the core of a small world, it can release light of destruction with Truer God 2nd tier power. You can’t withstand it.”

“And when a world is destroyed, all living beings within it perish. Their resentment remains and merges into the light of destruction.”

“If it strikes you, that resentment invades the soul, filling it with hatred and resentment.”

“You must have encountered many soul remnants on your way here. They’re all full of resentment.”

Everything she said matched what Lin Moyu had experienced.

So that was the origin of the light of destruction… a fusion of the law of destruction and resentment of a world.

Its power was immense, but even more dangerous was its ability to influence the mind and soul.

“Thank you.” Lin Moyu spoke sincerely.

She accepted his gratitude calmly. Then, an object appeared in her hand.

“Take this. It’ll be useful once you truly enter the greater world.”

It was a small jade pendant, exquisitely crafted.

Lin Moyu could sense element flowing within it, along with a faint trace of law.

Anything capable of containing laws was no ordinary treasure.

Lin Moyu asked, “How did you know I came from the small world?”

The woman seemed amused by the question and smiled.

“People from small worlds and those from the greater world are different. You’ll understand once you enter the greater world.”

“I hope you find the path and leave this place soon.”

Sensing she was preparing to leave, Lin Moyu asked in surprise, “You’re not continuing?”

They were already close to the world core. With a little more effort, success might be possible.

And judging by her strength—at least Transcendent God 8th tier—she clearly had a chance.

The woman shook her head, “Treasures belong to those fated to obtain them. I have no fate with this one.”

“I’ve already wasted too much time here.”

“Take my advice. Your strength is exceptional, but this isn’t the right time. Enter the greater world first, grow stronger, and then return. Only then will you have a real chance of obtaining the world core.”

“As a native of this world, you carry its mark. Returning here will be easier for you than for us.”

“I’ve said everything I wanted to say. I hope to see you again in the greater world.”

As soon as the words fell, dim light spread across her body. In the next moment, she disappeared.

She left without the slightest hesitation.

Lin Moyu watched silently as the woman vanished, turning her words over in his mind.

She was from the greater world.

At minimum, she possessed Transcendent God 8th tier strength.

More importantly, she appeared quite young.

Though appearances meant little for judging age, his instincts told him she wasn’t much older than he was.

To enter the deep layer and reach this place… no ordinary Transcendent God could accomplish that.

Lin Moyu guessed there had to be a powerful force or faction behind her.

“She said she hopes to see me again in the greater world.”

“That means as long as I reach the greater world alive, she’ll know. And we’ll meet again.”

“If she never sees me… then either I died here, or I failed to find a way out.”

“Why is she so certain? Is it because of this?”

Lin Moyu looked at the jade pendant in his hand.

Its carvings were vivid and exquisitely detailed.

The jade pendant depicted a small mountain valley, with wind element flowing through it. Holding it, he could almost feel a faint, cool breeze brushing against his skin.

On the reverse side, a single character was engraved: Xuan.

That was likely the woman’s name.

Lin Moyu knew the jade pendant was no ordinary object, but with his current level of understanding, he couldn’t determine what made it special.

Still, he sensed no ill intent from the woman. He trusted his instincts.

She had recognized at a glance that he wasn’t from the greater world.

What separated people of the greater world from those of small worlds?

Perhaps he would learn the answer once he reached the greater world.

Lin Moyu stored the jade pendant and turned his gaze toward the location of the world core.

The light of destruction saturated the entire area, and its power rivaled that of True God-level.

Even that woman had been unable to pass through it.

However…

A faint smile appeared at the corners of Lin Moyu’s mouth, confidence flickering in his eyes.

Just because others couldn’t pass didn’t mean he couldn’t.

The light of destruction was dense, but not without gaps.

As long as he controlled his timing and moved carefully, he had a chance.

After a brief pause, Lin Moyu pressed forward.

Even the slightest possibility was worth pursuing.

Antares had said the world core would play a crucial role in his future.

If he failed to obtain it, many things ahead would become far more difficult.

The moment the light of destruction struck him, Bone Armor shattered instantly.

Here, Bone Armor offered no real defense. But defense wasn’t what Lin Moyu needed.

The light of destruction appeared without sound or warning. Using Bone Armor as an early warning system was what mattered.

The instant it burst apart, Lin Moyu abruptly accelerated and stepped forward.

He still couldn’t completely avoid being hit.

His undead army collapsed in response.

But that single step carried him beyond the attack’s range.

Each time the light of destruction appeared, he only needed to endure one strike.

Lin Moyu understood clearly: he didn’t possess the reaction speed to evade it entirely.

So instead, he minimized the number of attacks he had to endure.

Relying on Undeath Undead and his talent, he would carve a path through the blockade of the light of destruction.
