Chapter 73: Bloodbath Of Tangshan |
Outside the mirror.
The pupils of the cultivators watching all this time constricted involuntarily.
When Gu Changqing sat there in shock without any intention of taking revenge for the little fox, the audience was angry, but they could understand why.
But to their surprise.
After sitting next to the bonfire for an entire night, Gu Changqing still left to avenge the little fox after all!
“Where did he find the guts to do that?!”
“His opponent is a Great Emperor!”
Everyone was so stunned, they couldn’t speak.
A Great Emperor was a terrifying existence. They could move through time and space with ease, and just a gaze or even the lowering of their eyes could take the lives of millions of creatures.
“Is it possible that that old Golden Crow isn’t a Great Emperor but a Quasi-Emperor? Or maybe a Supreme?” said a cultivator.
Based on their collective guesses, the Heavenly Emperor did not think of taking revenge only because he was nowhere near powerful enough for his enemy and was certain he would not survive.
But Gu Changqing had departed so resolutely. Everyone could sense that Gu Changqing was going to take revenge no matter what happened to him.
And since he did survive in the end, did that mean that the old Golden Crow wasn’t actually as powerful as everyone had initially thought?
But that was quickly shot down.
“That’s impossible! That Golden Crow had to be a Great Emperor.”
“That bloodline curse he gave the little fox was one that even the Reincarnation Sea had trouble erasing. Who else could be powerful enough to do that besides a Great Emperor?”
Everyone fell silent again.
After a long time, a cultivator suddenly exclaimed, “Then…how in the world did the Heavenly Emperor survive?”
Even though it was true that Gu Changqing had used his own strength to remove the curse of a Great Emperor, but the power of the curse did not necessarily represent the true ability of a Great Emperor.
It was possible that the curse was nothing more than a thought a Great Emperor had and it was nowhere as powerful as he was.
And while Gu Changqing had displayed an ability way beyond anyone’s imagination, they were certain he was not qualified to launch an attack on a Great Emperor and hope to live.
Nobody could understand why he was doing this and everyone was simply in disbelief.
…
At the easternmost part of Beixuan Continent.
There was a rare immortal mountain range in that part and it was named Tangshan. It spanned thousands of miles and sat like a giant between heaven and earth.
The peaks were on par with the heavens, its rivers seeming as vast as the land below.
Tangshan was where all the spiritual meridians of the world were gathered, and because it was blessed by the Heavenly Dao, it had endless qi as well.
Even the round sun hanging in the skies of Beixuan Continent was rumored to rise every day from Tangshan.
And now, the most powerful faction of Beixuan Continent, the Demon Race, called this place its territory.
So many Supremes and Quasi-Emperors resided here.
Great Saints and Saint Kings were a common sight.
This was truly a nation of demons!!
And this demonic nation seemed to contain all of the Beixuan Continent Demon Race’s resources.
Gu Changqing tore through the sky and arrived at this place.
He focused his eyes on the mountain range in the distance.
The mountain peaks overlapped each other, some rising higher than others. This vast land hid a myriad of creatures and Gu Changqing could also sense many terrifying existences here.
But he did not hide his presence. Instead, he openly spread out his divine sense.
He had only one target – Tanggu.
That was where the Golden Crows lived.
Every place had its own unwritten rules, and this place was no exception.
The minute Gu Changqing set foot in the mountain range, thousands of powerful creatures were awakened from their cultivation in isolation. They all wanted to see who was this foolish, ill-fated intruder who dared to barge into their territory like this.
But when they also sensed his terrifying presence, all of them quickly shut their eyes and covered their ears automatically.
This was a matter for the most powerful ones to settle. Not one they could afford to interfere with.
Gu Changqing did not meet any obstruction and made his way easily into Tangshan.
But that didn’t last long.
A Saint King, who had cultivated for a long, long time and had a presence as huge as a mountain, came and stood in Gu Changqing’s way. The moment he appeared, the heavens collapsed and spacetime exploded.
“Who are you! How dare you behave brazenly in my demon nation!!”
“Come down right now!”
An authoritative roar resounded loudly, then immediately everything fell silent again.
Because he was dead.
Gu Changqing barely even flinched in the face of someone at the same realm as himself. He just gently moved the death mill behind him and the cultivator rapidly began losing vitality, turning into dry bones in an instant!
“He’s so powerful?”
The cultivators outside the mirror gaped in horror.
Even though they knew that a Saint King could never take down the Heavenly Emperor, the fact that he was dealt with so simply and quickly still stunned them.
They were at the same realm after all. No matter how insanely gifted the Heavenly Emperor was, how could he have slaughtered his opponent as though he was nothing more than an ant?
Or actually, the Saint King seemed to be worth even less than an ant.
This person who was supposedly on par with the Heavenly Emperor, didn’t even last a blink.
“This is truly insane,” everyone couldn’t help but exclaim.
…
It only took a few moments for Gu Changqing to arrive at the center of Tangshan.
At the same time, more and more powerful demons arrived.
Thousands of Great Saints and hundreds of Saint Kings shot out in an instant like bamboo shoots after the spring rain.
The loss of any one of these creatures would cause no small uproar in the continent.
Right now, they had all flown up to the sky, crowding out the sky like a huge blanket of locusts, coming at him like a tsunami.
Gu Changqing remained expressionless.
He didn’t even bother to say anything to express his righteous intentions.
He had only thought in his mind right now.
KILL.
The little fox was a princess of the demons and should have lived a smooth sailing life. But because of the rebellion of these people, it caused the death of the Qingqiu line and also made the little fox suffer a tragic fate.
He wanted to return everything the little fox suffered to them by a thousand-fold or more.
Gu Changqing rode on a divine rainbow immediately. His presence grew more and more terrifying and boundless murderous qi filled his surroundings.
Terrifying Heavenly Dao laws spun themselves around his body like a web, becoming a web that could cover thousands and thousands of miles.
“Go!”
A monstrous, earth-destroying mill appeared behind him and pierced through the endless spacetime with an ear piercing shriek immediately after he gave that command.
It went straight for that army in the sky comprising of Saint Kings and Great Saints.
Boom!
A deafening sound wave resounded from the huge Tangshan mountain range.
The soundwave was so terrifying, any living thing below Great Saint within a million miles was reduced to dust by it.
Bam! Bam! Bam!
Clouds of blood kept exploding in the sky.
Great Saint after Great Saint, Saint King after Saint King, were reduced to dust from that earth-shattering mill.
The whole sky turned red.
Great Saints and Saint Kings fell like rain, their rain staining all of Tangshan.
The vast mountains were covered by the endless rain of blood, their blood flowing like a sea that surged in all directions. The surge was like the waves of a tsunami, causing smaller hills to collapse in the flood.
The stench of blood rose and drowned Tangshan in it.
Within the bloodied sea, thousands of bones piled up and turned into mountains of corpses. It was a horrifying sight to behold, one that would make anyone vomit.
Thousands of species turned to blood, millions were destroyed.
Who would have imagined that Tangshan, a land that had survived for millions of years, would turn into a bloody hell tormented by pure wrath!
