I hate when the story has potential but is ruined by authors.

Been reading Chinese novels for so long hence I have gained resistance towards racism in the novels
But man is this too over the top RACIST?! Almost as if the government held the author at a gunpoint.

This is just bad. Horrible MC. The whole college entrance exam arc was horrible.
Couldn't read it at all.

The mc is too arrogant. He is always"unwilling" to back off regardless of hiw severe the consequences may be. He singlehandedly makes an average novel into a bad novel.

Putting him aside the world building in this novel is sh*t. In the face of extermination any race would try to unite and let talents from all across the world bloom and add more power. What we instead see is a generic xianxia world with "Junior you dare" types of peole everywhere. There is also a stupid clan system that comes out from nowhere. It just feels like the author is trying to make a generic cultivation style world instead of building up on his own premise. Put that together with an arrogant and unyielding mc then you get this sh*tshow.

The final straw that broke the camels back is the stupid cultivation system. Everytime something related to cultivation comes up i feel the urge to commit seppuku. Author tries really hard to mix science with myths and fails miserably. The whole monkey gene/stone gene etc doesn't make any sense at all.

All in all its a generic mediocre trash.

The novel's good and he doesn't get really powerful towards the end, but my only gripe is that he's really, REALLY racist to like only the Japanese. It's not even light comments but full 'I a chinaman do not trust anyone other than my countrymen, even though i will gladly work with those from other countries aswell as there not even being countries with the earth being a unified government. But those eveil japanese are not even of the same race as me.' Like i get how shitty japan was to china in the past, but this is literally a separate universe where that history may or may not exist.

5/10 7/10 without racism

I just can't get that stupid asura heart out of my mind. He never even uses it!
