    It’s an alright novel, one of those classics you’ll hear pop up every once in a while, and is still pretty good considering it’s age.

    This novel is a part of the ErGen-verse, somewhere around the middle chronologically if I’m picking it up correctly.

    Quality of writing kind of fluctuates between “unbearably boring” and “I’m ultra invested”, especially for early parts of the novel.

    Unfortunately, novel starts losing steam hard when
    and momentum is basically killed off during the
    , which makes it hard to continue past that point.

    Romance is utter dogshit and Er Gen invested way too much into something he had no buildup for, basically ended up used as a plot device to speed up interactions.

      The romance in this novel isn't particularly important. Unless we're talking about the Blood Wedding. The Blood Wedding is brutal.

    The novel is "Pendulum." Some parts made my eyes bleed. Some parts were quite decent. The plot feels a bit raw. It's clear that the storyline wasn't planned from the beginning, and some important decisions were made on the fly. I liked *Renegade Immortal* more, but I understand people who might disagree with me.

    I'm not 100% sure but as of chapter 160, you can see where I get my conjecture from.

    Pros
    1.) Some of characters such as Lord fifth 🦜, Meat jelly & Patriarch Reliance 🐢 scenes and plots are one of the best plus point of this novel.

    2.) The scenes or plot where MC is acting bashfully are really funny. Especially
    and when he is conning others or get conned himself 🤣

    3.) In this novel many things are revealed related to previous MC's and even give few clues on what to expect in future Er Gen novels. So I can say that story background and plots where secrets related to universe is revealed are the best.👍

    Cons
    1.) Starting chapters will make readers annoyed or irritate due to mistakes and behaviour of MC and also few loopholes or you can say mistakes done by author. But I hoped that people don't give up on novel. There are instances where you will find that author is making characters & MC act like this just for sake of plot (forced plot). But once again I hoped that people don't give up on novel.

    Guys I don't know about others likes and dislikes, but I am more inclined towards Wang Lin in terms of character design and his personality compare to Meng Hao. But if we talk about side characters than ISSTH characters are more funny and memorable than Renegade Immortal
