    Okay I need to rant about wisdom path it’s been getting on my nerves for some time so I have to address the elephant in the room.

    First off wisdom path has always been expressed as a path which can make logical deductions using things closely related to the person. However what I don’t get about the authors methods is why completely random things help in deducing things completely unrelated to the matter. Now by the logic of the novel anything related to the person can increase your deduction chances, I get that. But having a drastic increase in deduction chances is very different from a minor increase in chance.

    For instance, Fairy Zi Wei has often deduced many important things related to Fang Yuan including killer moves battlefield killermoves, identities and locations. Let’s use reverse flow river as an example. At first her deduction speed was low due to the lack of information but as she had more encounters with it her deduction foundation was slowly built up until she cracked it. This is logical and understandable because she’s actively building upon previous experiences and information relative to the problem to make the deduction.

    However, as soon as she got Dark limit immortal gu and Fang Zheng her deduction ability on anything Fang Yuan had a drastic increase. According to the logic of the novel this makes no sense because the items you use should have sufficient relation to the problem to drastically influence the deduction process. Although these things are closely connected to FY they have almost no relation to the situations she is deducing do their impact should be negligible.

    Although the tools and her high attainment are nothing to scoff at, she still needs to follow the rules set in the universe. Even in this chapter we see the immortals of Southern border are unable to deduce his location because they don’t have enough information on him, yet the information they can use is much closer to the core of the problem than the items Zi Wei has.

    E.g the people he got into contact with, the locations he went to when looting, the leftover dao marks on the battlefield all these are crucial details which can greatly increase a deductions chance of success yet Zi Wei still poses more of a threat without star constellation’s gu house.

    I get that her attainment is high but random items with no relation to the problem should not gave a direct influential effect on the deduction process. That’s like using a rock the mc sat on 30 years ago to deduce what time he will take a shit today 😂

    Now I’m not saying Zi Wei shouldn’t be able to deduce his location, I’m saying at least give her the proper clues which relate to the situation to support this belief. With the deep foundation of heavenly court that’s the bare minimum she should be able to do, find and use clues relevant to the situation using her deep methods.

    And speaking to attainment level everything is relevant. Random information used to solve a rank 1 problem by a rank 1 is directly proportional to random unrelated information used to solve a rank 8 problem by a rank 8. It only makes sense that when challenging problems at the same level the difficulty will also increase to that level.

    I just feel like Zi Wei’s wisdom path is selectively excluded from the logic of the path to make it easier for the author to expose FY because of how cautious he made FY who wouldn’t willingly leave behind clues to help enemies make deductions.

    Lastly, although one can argue that making deductions using bloodline and emotion path to assist could maybe justify Fang Zheng’s use, emotion path is not specialized for making deductions and most wisdom path gu immortals specialize in one key aspect anyway as seen with Dong Fang Chang Fan’s inheritance that FY got.
