      She’s angry because she wants to monopolize it. It’s about influence in general not specifically prestige or reputation.
      But to answer your question, it’s not very different from other stuff earlier in the novel. The Mc competes with other people and wins because they’re too bogged down by the need to maintain their reputation. They don’t want to see him winning.

      Not really, they're just naive and way too kind-hearted / brainwashed / indoctrinated.
      Also, FY isn't really a good person, though he isn't straight up evil, either. If someone gets in his way, he won't really care about his methods, as long as they don't end up harming him now or in the future, but he won't go out of his way to offend someone he doesn't need to.

        not caring about your methods and using any means possible to achive your desired result is what we call evil lol. i think you are mistaking 'evil' with 'crazy' and or 'blood thirsty'. he isn't the latter but he certainly is the former. don't take me wrong i have no issue with him being evil and even like that, it's just that saying he is not evil is totally wrong.
        but he won't go out of his way to offend someone he doesn't need to.
