This is a story of a man named Kim Sae-Jin, who one day, inexplicably wakes up as a Monster. Follow him and his perilous journey to get his life back as a Human, all the while growing even more versatile as a Monster in the process. This should be… complicated, somewhat. Collapse

I read this long time ago. I liked it very much, even ending was pretty good. Others clearly didn't like the ending but I think this ending was infinitely better than solo leveling for example.

I hated novels extra however, absolutely hated it and couldn't even finish it because of all the mental illness it had.

Maybe you need specific type of mindset to like both novels and I clearly side with this novel over extra.

I really tried giving this novel a chance, considering the other works from this author.

However, the pacing of this novel just feels wrong. Events happening only once MC get a convenient a solution or just after he receives a big power-up, relationship progress with other characters either out of nowhere or for no reason, and not even the system restriction he has feels consistent sometimes.

Had to drop it ~30 chapters before the end, but had to slog through ~80 chapters to get there in the first place. A shame.

If you liked this one, you might enjoy "Charlotte" the anime. If you hated it, you might give Infinite Mana in the Apocalypse a try. Micro spoiler for IMITA

If you want a complete, concise story, IMITA might not be for you. But, the first 2 or 3 arcs are an enjoyable power-leveling magic-fest with a bit of dark apocalypse. After that, it gets fairly repetitive and there's a ton of power creep. Still enjoyable, personally, but not everyone would agree.

I also loved reading this years ago. Lost the name of the novel but randomly found it again a few days ago.

Still enjoying it, but I have to say if the notes and other messy stuff were removed, it would be a much more enjoyable read. Wish I had access to editing novels here so I could remove all the annoying, immersion breaking BS that authors, editors and translators somehow think is cute. I love that give what ends up being basically free content, but at the same time ughhhhhhhhhhhh.

Ugh...can't believe I enjoyed this before. Maybe I just forgot the distasteful stuff.

It starts out quite nice but then devolves into characters making obviously stupid decisions.

And what possess me off the most is that he strings along, toys with and/or doesn't do anything about several other women while he's in a monogamous relationship. I feel dirty just reading about it.

It's not harem porn. It's passive, fence-sitting, infidelity. It's the kind of stuff that almost universally garners the hate of all men against manipulations bitches.

It's just a guy in this case.

So, I read this story a while back, but I still remember quite a bit. I remember that I absolutely loved the entire story and the uniqueness it had (at least I found the plot unique). But also, I found the ending and epilogue to be some of the least satisfying ones out there. (Upcoming spoiler is about the ending / epilogue)

Giving this a shot. I'm a bit sucker for Korean-made novels. They tend to be more mature in logic. Still some are rediculous

This novel was good but i don't know but at the end a trash and for me 175 chapters were just to short for the story we have seen not so much maybe more transformation or more continuity but not what a waste
