      I suspect the illusion the MC was referring to is the illusion that he could return. Perhaps what he's concluded is that Earth is real but there's no way back?

      So the thing is Klein believed that Rosselle came to this world 300 years ago, but still left earth around the same time he did that he could get back home without much time passing.
      The problem is that instead of them being transmigrated seperately whoever transmigrated them just got a shitload of random people and is slowly releasing them.
      So in fact he probably wont be able to go back home as potentially thousands of years have passed.
