How tf can you lie aboute the future? A lies does not become a lie untill it happens. You cannot lie if you don't know whether your promised statement will be upheld. Unless, of course, you intentionally lie about something in the future. But then comes another point: if you lied that you wanted to help your friend knowing that you don't want it, but then nevertheless helped your someone knowing that you lied to yourself intentionally, at least, does it become a lie or not?

Assume you promised me to buy a book tomorrow but weren't able to due to some reasons so you lied about the past...but it is also true it isn't a lie until tomorrow comes.
But assume you promised me to buy a book but it was an empty promise and your behaviour and expression is very clear to me that you never intend to buy me a book. So I guess you can be considered a liar if you deem yourself as a liar in the present even though the statement is about some future event... pressure
Basically I said the same thing you said.... treat

What if all of humanity was mistaken about something? An unsuccessful example: I don't exist, so every time someone uses this pronoun, they're lying.

Let's say we have a liar's paradox: Am I lying? The falsity and truth of this statement are uncertain. On the one hand, it could be an absolute trap (according to the author). On the other hand, it could be a death sentence. - Am I lying? - Yes. "shot"

Yeah so who is going to be the decider if someone is lying or not? What if two people believe a statement and there isn’t a way to prove if either is correct, like the naruto statement below? Would these types of statements be the most deadly? Also this setup feels like it could be very convenient for the author, he could make any statement a lie or truth as he sees fit. Not saying it’s bad or anything, just saying a consistent unreliable narrator would possibly make this unreadable with everything going the mc’s way.

    Quote: Desire god
The main point is still the lie if someone makes an empty promise such as they will arrive on time tomorrow or they will offer the stars or moon to them which they don’t believe themselves are lies you can even say a halfhearted statement from a child that he will study later in a given timeframe is a lie if he doesn’t believe it
