The author's premise is already wrong though?

At first glance, one might assume Draco was named simply for a dragon. In truth, the name follows a far older and more deliberate tradition. Narcissa Black named her child in keeping with the House of Black’s long-standing custom of naming their descendants after constellations and Greek mythology. Draco, therefore, does not point to a creature, but to the stars.

This stellar pattern can be seen in almost all the Blacks: Arcturus Black, Cygnus, Ursula, Pollux, Sirius, Regulus, Orion, Bellatrix, Andromeda.

Draco, in canon, also follows this convention with his own son- Scorpius.

Making this mistake, especially in a fanfiction, reveals the author's shallow understanding of the universe and does not bode well for the quality of the work.
