This story is аbout: an internet troll and "critic" who gets transported into the manga she trash-talked online, and now she must save it from the apocalypse. The twist? People back in her own world are reading and commenting on the manga as it updates, so she must always stay in character. (And no, this isn't a "revenge fantasy" against a reader 😑)

What to expect: comedy and satire, and eventually some darker parts. There is also no gold-digging in the literal meaning of the word (lol). It's a metaphor that will make sense at some point.

Notorious internet troll and critic, Amy Stake, has "karma" catch up to her when she criticizes the writing of a vengeful Goddess and gets reincarnated into a brutal shonen battle manga known for its astronomical body count.

In an ironic twist of fate, she'll only get the powers the manga readers imagine she has, and her strength will be directly proportional to how much they love her.

With death lurking at every step, Amy must now claw her way into the main story by any means necessary. Scene-stealing entrances, manufactured drama, and a possibly fabricated tragic backstory… Whatever it takes to secure her place as a fan favorite before the end of the world arrives. Collapse

    44 chapters soo far its been a pretty decent read, the title is bit misleading the main character Amy is not a gold digger such as using money or deceiving others to solve her problems in another world. it's about other people viewing her that way based on her family origin, faking her persona until she can make it pay off since their system in place based on reader perception of herself being a side character.

    Their not that many great written characters, the teachers felt forgettable including the students but the main cast were at least interesting to see, my favorite being Amy, Crow and the book.

    The novel story is alot more fun to read during their 2nd adventure and recommend people to read that part of the story before deciding to fully drop it, I hope the author can keep up this energy in future arcs even though the updates are very slow.

    Overall, I'd say it's not bad; it's readable, even interesting, but there are three nuances that slightly spoil the book.
    1. The main character whines for too long after the boy died before her eyes and she couldn't save him. The whining is just too much.
    2. I don't know at what point, but the main character developed a "saintly" attitude, "save the world even at the cost of your own life." I'm not a fan of that kind of persona, and that's why the book is a bit off-putting (but overall, it's readable).
    3. The updates are too slow; chapter 38 came out on August 20th... So, you get it? It's unlikely I'll ever get the chance to finish a book like this. Usually, such books either take many years to write, or the authors often simply abandon them.

    Initially, I started reading without any hope, confident that I'd abandon it after chapters 10-15 and forget about it. If I knew I'd like a book, I'd check its update rate and then just not even start, because keeping up with such books is torture. I usually do this when I think I'll like a book, but it's updated very slowly.
