      Just like the other comments said, mc thought that the disciple is bringing his family's group of hunters.

      In fact, that's what the mc intend to do. In the previous chapter (or even before that), the mc putposely said that the tiger is a great tonic. Mc said this so the disciple is tempted and then bring his hunters to hunt the tiger down, leaving the forest safe for him to travel.
