What a good read! Second only to "Mediterranean Hegemon of Ancient Greece," this historical fiction boasts plenty of research. Early on, it does rely on the TV show "Spartacus" as a crutch; nonetheless, the author manages to create a level-headed MC who doesn't possess a cheat system and didn't accidentally memorise all agricultural/technological advancements in high school.

Either way, it's a great read. The only issue is that the side characters are a bit too simplistic, lacking depth, and the MC accepts things a bit too easily.

Seems interesting. I like novels about gladiators, especially when they stop fighting each other and start killing spectators and powerful people. Who hasn't wanted to arrest corrupt politicians and let them kill each other? welldone

Mediterranean Hegemon of Ancient Greece-->Mediterranean Mediterranean Hegemon of Ancient Greece

This one is very faithful to the story, but it is very dark and heavy, since it deals with real human beings.

It's fine if they are fantasy. If real then they have to be according to our history since they are referring to it

Works that deal with history usually end up distorting it over time, since no one wants to read the same thing as history books.
