    (book 4/ch200+) This novel is a very classic xinxia story, but instead of the MC being young he is experienced. The focus is on strategy, politics and relationships more than adventure. Fights are not too drawn out and overall the pacing is good but the word count padding is thicc. Harem tag is not to be ignored and when I say that here we have alot of cliche, believe me. The MC has a golden finger but it is actually fairly well balanced and not OP. His talent is mediocre and he makes up for it with resources. Alright lets not say too much, fellow daoist if this is your first novel I will recommend it greatly. As for experienced readers you will know from the tags, all I can say this story is well written and has an interesting plot with many cliches. It is an older novel so there are no parodies of other novels. If you want to just experience some nostalgia this is for you.

    There is one plot hole in the first 200 chapters that I found so far

    Translation makes it difficult to reach 10 damn chapters. Mtl would cause your brain to rot with how the name of 1 sect or 1 person has about 40 thousand different names. Then there's the idiots who translate several volumes in, cant even try reading that because the first couple volumes translation

    I've only read the first 20 chaps but I think that they perfectly encapsulate what this novel is about.

    Summary - The MC is an 80 year old guy who transmigrated to a cultivation world 50 something years ago and built a commercial empire. He's basically a legend in the business and everyone knows his name. Unfortunately he started cultivating late and missed his chance to breakthrough to the Xiantian stage. The story "starts" for real after he gets a pill and breakthroughs which sets him on a path to immortality.

    Good points - as of now, the MC has the attitude of an 80 and he does not really lust after beauties and even considers some of them kids. He's not a monk but he's a respectable and controlled person.

    The mc is fiercely devoted to growing stronger and developing as a cultivator despite being an old man which is quite nice to read about as well.

    Bad points - the only downside so far is that the translator keeps too many terms in chinese; techniques, places, statuses, etc., which makes it difficult to follow the story sometimes. There are footnotes but ranobes does not have them unfortunately. The dialogues are also in bold which can be annoying.

    As of now it's a solid 3.7/4 out of 5. Solid read.
