    Novel about gossip with more filler than donuts. Fanboys throbbing in Mao Ni ass love this. Imo this is just subpar historical drama LARPING as cultivation novel, if you enjoy this I recommend reading historical dramas instead. Ive read all of Mao Ni novels to some extent, ive come to the conclusion that its really just boring. Its not that I do not appreciate complex plot or prose. Just that cultivation and mythology/daoism are sacrificed for it. Instead it devolves into --> historical drama. Hence as a cultivation novel this is garbage. As just something to read it suffers from the dog translation, other than that if u enjoy the first 20 chapters you will enjoy enough of it to keep going for a few hundred so just test the poison.

    this story is truly superb, from chapter 1 to chapter 260-ish you can see at least 4.7 stars worth of novel, the progression is amazing, MC is f#cking chad, not only he's steadfast towards bitches but also smart, cold, and work harder than anyone...but then Author catched the Author Self-destruct Tendency (ASdT).

    he shit the bed

    he changed MC's character whenever he wants, he brought back the losers (enemies), he gave them anything they lost, he gave them stronger power, bigger potential, better backings, and thicker plot armor. meanwhile MC out here slogging his ass off getting a breakthrough or two.

    those rating are a real depiction of how we readers think about this story. some of those giving 5 stars are the patient ones probably minimum amount of titles. the ones giving 3 and 4 stars are the real ones, who already saw things like this million times, no need to maie a big deal out of this. while the 1 stars are ones who mald cause the story went from really good to a hot garbage
