    Man i f#cking hate this trope of "protecting his humanity". Mf in a survival of the fittest world he wants to be a hero protecting people he doesn't even know and have nothing to do with him. This bs where he instead of surviving, runs back to protect the people from an army of monster, the same people who will die in a century, lile a mortal they are. So his actions are futile, death will come regardless, if he protects them what about the people suffering on the other corner of the world? Or the people in some other worlds? Would he protect everyone for the sake of his humanity?
