    Some of you think it’s outta character for Nick and bad writing but I think it’s in character Nick has been shown to be an emotionally but also logically sometimes one overpowers the other but you gotta understand that he’s been feeling like shit for the entire four years with barely any joy and with wyntor telling him all that? Was like a powder keg finally blowing I’m disappointed in Nick but I can understand what the writer has done. I’ll see this to the end and make my final decision

      And coupled with the fact that lately Nick has been killing innocent civilians just because they were against him (bro, they just worked for Spartan they didn't do anything), it's not the biggest jump to see Nick kill Wyntor in the end because he was the source of his misery, even despite their close bond

    I think this is it. IA m done reading this. If wyntor deserved to die in Nick's opinion, then Nick is also deserved to die, for the number of deaths he caused. MF is just justifying himself at this point in the name of lives of dregs people. People like Nick are dangerous, since whatever they do, they are able to justify themselves.

      yup, this chapter didn't feel good.

      Like the above comment said Nick while in Spartan base purposefully killed even the cleaning lady who had no task or decisions for attempt on Nick's kidnapping.

      I think Nick being slowly mentally curropted since his thought went straight to killing his so called "friend"

      the author is very good at making it seem like the decisions taken are logical, even when he is literally talking about some of those decisions which may seem logical are not. this largely feeds into nick's long rationalisations, even when he knows that what he is doing is wrong.

      multiple times throughout the story, he admits that he is a hypocrite, but what must be done must be done (this is a disgustingly large over simplification).

      i think to myself that if nick were in the position of any other character except the main character, we would absolutely hate him. having read the whole story once, i would explain even more but i dont wanna spoil ig.

      idk why i wrote this guess i wanted to justify some peak, but then again warmaisach said this is the darkest novel he will write so we can hope that after this and sword god, we gonna get some diff type novels

        Cada vez Nick se parece más a un espectro… me sorprende que no haya calculado todo el daño colateral que le puede haber causado a sus ahora antiguos empleados de dark dream, obviamente obviando el tema de la desaparición de las escorias y eso.
