    Yes, I actually came up with this just now, and it’s quite a nice theory.
    First of all, near the end of the Second Nightmare, during Sunny’s final encounter with Mordret, Sunny told him that he could take the “toys” Nether had left in the ebony tower below. Mordret went to loot them, and after that chapter, nothing was ever explained about what those items actually were.
    However, in that same part, we specifically know that Mordret said he would kill both Anvil and Asterion. This suggests that this is precisely why he demanded the Hollow Mountains from Nephis and Sunny.
    What I’m saying is this: Mordret wanted those mountains because of whatever he looted, and the reason may be preparation for a future war.
    If he has really been planning this ever since then, we might be in for a massive plot development.
    I’m referring to Chapter 740. 7
    I hope I haven't forgotten anything else important.

        He did, he got some anti divination thing there but we don't know what else, and weaver lost his arm to corruption not a monster, he cut it off and left it there which sunny found with a bunch of rotten growth

    I have an interesting theory about this arc:
    Asterion messed up Cassie so badly that she lost sense of herself and she is now slowly regaining herself mentally. Also, this is the arc that Cassie might turn sovereign, same as mordret with the tyrant. I think Cassie is the only one who is capable of taking down Asterion and level up in the process.

    Asterion is for sure gonna be an issue. But honestly i feel like hed probably lose to mordret in a fight. Same with nephis and easily with sunny

      How can mordret win in a mental war? How do you fight a war that your enemy can affect even your own thoughts and decisions?
      It would just end up as war of attrition due to limitless supply of puppets.

        Mordret is probably the one out of all of them that can deal with Asterion All he has to do is murder all of humanity now asterion's weakened and then he can just kill him(obviously no one wants him to do that)

        If that memory of Asterion almost killing cassie is true I don't understand why Sunny didn't chase him across the dream realm until he killed him the only reason I think Sunny, Mordret, and Neph can't really kill him is because of his hax nerfing their intelligence so he can just run away from them.

        I don't know if g3 is gonna use this but if sunny becomes saint again with 7 of his incarnations that should potentially temporarily cleanse him of Asterions hax allowing him to kill him too

        For one hes a divine aspect wielder and a titan. He has at bare minimum 5x the essence of asterion. G3 has made it abundantly clear that divine aspect wielders are in an entirely different league from non holders.

        Hes also made it clear that Classes really add an entire layer of power dynamics.
        A single corrupted titan (winter beast) was so strong that not any single transcendent beast could kill it (the saints at that time)

        Even if asterion could affect his mind. He wouldnt be able to do anything near what he did to those masters and awakened or even Cassie.

        His will couldnt make mordret kneel.
