        I think it was mentioned somewhere old tom isnt of great rank yet. Corrupted tyrant or terror. Around same rank as skinwalker. The oneshot guy is a sure great ranking something.

          Skinwalker was Great Terror though. And considering the ability to bend space and the sheer size of Old Tom he is at least Great Rank or possibly even Cursed

          Trying to compare human ranks to nightmare creatures is like matching chess pieces to wild animals—sure, they both move, but one bites. Nightmare hierarchies are neat and tidy: seven of the same rank gang up to topple the next. It’s math. It’s brutal. It’s predictable.

          ‎Humans? Oh no. We threw the rulebook out and lit it on fire. A Master might tango with a Saint if their Aspect hits the right nerve—because why not? Human ranks are less a ladder and more a drunken spiral staircase. And let’s not pretend all Saints are monster-slaying demigods. Some would get folded by high-tier nightmares before they even finish their heroic monologue.

    because I have the impression that the old tone is a reuse of an old idea, maybe it's because I'm reading a lot of "behind the scenes" of some works, but an author giving a nickname to something that would quickly die and out of "longing for what it never was". I guess that tone should appear in some aquatic journey that was cut from the story.
