      So heres the issue, her choice was just dumb and she fell into false dilemma.

      Cassie saw visions a few times, and she tried to change the future she saw, but her actions just propelled towards the visions she saw, nor could she change it, her actions to stop were acting as a catalyst.

      So you would expect her to stop, but no, she didn't, she still gave his true name to nephis like a dumbass, even though she already knew her actions can't change what she saw in the vision, this not only doomed sunny but also doomed nephis as well.

      cassie just shouldn't have taken any side its not that hard to get. shes just dumb instead of being a horrible person comparatively

          Have you forgotten Sunny’s flaw? Sunny’s flaw worked against him. He was forced to answer that he wouldn’t protect Nephis at all costs because he truly wouldn’t. Does it make sense that because he truly wouldn’t give his life for Nephis, Cassie will give Nephis the control over Sunny’s life? He was also forced to give out his true name. Of course he should’ve steered the conversation away from that but he was mentally drained, and not from the alcohol. That was just one contributor.

          Ultimately, it’s entirely Cassie’s fault. While I forgive her, it was her actions not anyone else’s. You cannot say it’s partly Sunny’s fault when all he did was reveal a vulnerability. It was up to Cassie whether she would abuse the vulnerability of a friend and she did. What she did was insidious.

              If it wasn’t for his flaw, Sunny would’ve been fine. The main reason he screwed up was not because he was drunk, it was because he was tired. Because he was mentally drained, he didn’t properly control his flaw and he said that he had a true name. He immediately adjusted and tried to make it a joke but he was forced to tell his name after. Cassie abusing that weakness that Sunny showed makes it entirely her fault. She intended to ruin their relationship even if Nephis escaped.

                no matter how you argue about it.. its already a fact that it is mistake the mc made...
                a mistake is a mistake whatever the reason... all of it was his choice/decision tbh, even if he was mentally exhausted, that's just an excuse imo

                also the vision cassie made was vague at best so i don't think anyone really understand what would happen.. even the end result was something that cassie regretted..
                i think i need to reread these parts again but from what i can remember, cassie cant read mc staus fully yet at the time, so i'm not sure she understand herself what the name signifies, just that it will help neph.. just my opinion

                edit: chapter 161.. i read it again cause i can't remember if he mention anything about being slave, but none.. and mc was too careless with the drink

                  thinking about that vision.. i think some of it doesn't make sense or as dire of what would happen on the spire.. i cant remember exactly but there was part of the vision where it says one consumes the other.. f#cked.. couple with what i remember when some in the comments pointing some similarities with the vision on the chained arc.. maybe the vision does not yet happen.. and i think i don't want to check it agian to verify pressure
