Listen, will is a very bad explanation as to why a corrupted creature would be able to survive a nuke, will isnt invincible, at a certain point you can overcome it with brute force, and a corrupted creatures will is basically negligible, with the amount of power a nuke has it would simply bypass the will of corrupted, great and even cursed rank creatures instantly and vaporize them no matter how strong they are, now when we get to unholy it becomes a separate matter but until then its just an excuse

Explanation as to what nukes in the future would actually entail:

im guessing that they tried testing a nuke during the early stages of the spell.this is not far in the future. it reasonable that that would not kill a corrupted nc. seeing this im guessing they stopped developing nukes and worked on spelltech like we just saw.

why is this guy getting so many downvotes? short explanation is shadow slaves' power system isnt all that great and G3 needs an excuse to get traditional weapons out of the equation. but if corrupted monsters were actually strong enough to survive this kind of stuff then the ranks above it should have already reduced our silly globe into a bunch of rock fragments since the power scales exponentially by rank

Its a fantasy universe with all kinds of crazy powers. Youre finding it hard to believe a nuke wont kill a corrupted? Why? Who says it doesnt have some heat resistance shield? Radiation resistance? Hell, if they can use essence, it means they can magically enhance their bodies to ludicrous heights.
Theres nothing wrong with the system, the author just hasnt explained things that well. Use your imagination.

honestly dont know why ur getting downvoted lol, sure u could argue it doesnt have “magical properties” but does that really matter when an actual f#cking miniature sun is dropped on your head? i dont think so, the only creatures i could see surviving the nukes we would have in a few decades from now is unholy and possibly cursed creatures and this is as a rereader

Man... all of you are just looking for reasons to hate Istg just keep reading, its all explained later. You guys want to be spoon fed information, and the moment you don't know something you start blaming 'inconsistency' and 'bad writing', like wtf, just keep reading and the author will explain it. Go read some random cultivation novel if you don't like the power system in Shadow Slave

xD I know this might be hard to understand for you but just because after 1000 chapters the author goes *guys this actually makes sense for real for real* doesn't mean that for 1000 chapters the magic system wasn't nonsense and the writing around it was good xD

Sorry I should've explained more. I'm not targetting you, i'm talking about everyone.
People are saying the same thing as you and adding on the extra "inconsistent and stupid power system"

Your reasoning is so silly. It's readers like you mostly that either complain about inconsistencies if it's not explained within 3 chapters, and then complain about info dump if more than 2 lore events are revealed at once.
Now this leaves one more option, but then you'd complain about being spoiled.

There are many impatient idiots down here who didn't understand the world building of the novel
The reason power system is inconsistent is because sunny doesn't know anything about anything really we learn more about the world along with him
The reason nuclear weapons and modern weapons can't kill or harm nightmare creatures is because of part of the power of those who walk on the path of ascension called Will after reaching transcendent rank Will becomes very very important and ascended and fallen beings use Will subconsciously I won't explain about Will but if guys want to know you should wait till the author explains it instead of b#tching about it

dude yes will is important but at a certain point u can brute force your way through will, even with will i dont see a great rank creature surviving a head on collision with the type of nukes we would have in the far future, its absolutely ridiculous to imagine just how strong the nukes in the future would be, they would undoubtedly be strong enough to vaporize a great tyrant at the LEAST, the only creatures i see surviving nukes like that is possibly cursed and unholy creatures, it would make more sense for g3 to say one unholy creature was responsible for the downfall of earth military

You're a re-reader at the point of this comment. So if you paid attention, then you'd know Will is not the only factor that allows Nightmare Creatures to shake off modern weapons. There's also the

Corrupted can survive the nuke? The same corrupted that Sunny who can't even destroy a city block killed like anything? The place where a nuke is dropped has approximately the heat of 100 million degrees? Like 7 times the heat of sun's core?

as a rereader its still a significant plothole UNLESS there was an unholy creature involved, which was likely the case, ur underestimating just how strong a nuke is gang, and thats by the standard of nukes we have today, in the far future? thats an entirely different conversation

Do you have crap instead of brain in your head? What does DC and AP have anything to do here? I specifically mentioned 100 million degrees of heat that exists at ground zero and nothing in this novel till now is even close to capable of surviving it.
